I'm not saying there are any free points but with the way Wings are playing right now, Wild (x2), Kings, Coyotes and Preds are underdogs against us. Three of those games are at home too and only Preds have been playing respectably as of late. I'm thinking it's a good opportunity to get on a roll and storm into a playoff position.

You're not going to win many games scoring 2-3 a night regardless of who's in goal.

NHL Officiating - I've pretty much lost faith in any consistent co

At this rate they might as well eliminate penalties from the game altogether, save for blatant attempts to injure. At least it would be consistent. Make it 4-on-4 for 60 minutes while you're at it, more room for skill and less clutching and grabbing. -
Next 5 games should be very winnable. I'm expecting at least 8 points out of that stretch.

Have faith, brother. Have faith. We just won in San Jose and played a great game against Chicago.

Maybe Prospal didn't want to sign for the Wings. Maybe it wasn't even discussed. How can we know?
-
On the other hand, I don't think he wants to leave. He learned it during his first stint in Detroit.
-
I love how he moves right in on Versteeg instead of dicking around and waiting for the fight to come to him.
-
How the hell do you know that? Once again, this isn't NHL10.
-
Yes. They will be tied with the Flames but Wings have the tie-breaker in their favor due to fewer games played. Go Wings!

This. Not a bad idea in the OP either though.

He could easily become a permanent 3rd or 2nd line player for this team and even if his contract is doubled or tripled it's still very much affordable. This kind of players are worth holding onto, they're not a dime a dozen.

Legend = Yzerman. I believe it's like that in the dictionary too.
-
I hope he stays in Detroit for the rest of his career.
-
Please God no.

Hope is a dangerous thing to lose. Lose it and you lose everything. I feel Wings are just starting to play better and they will get some more guys back into the fold soon. There's absolutely no reason to panic with over 30 games remaining. Remember the Blues last year?

Me too. Good post my friend.

So during last week, Selanne, S. Koivu, Lehtinen and Timonen suffered injuries. It's like team Finland has been hit with the Red Wings syndrome of this season.
-
Not great, not bad, not quite enough. Kinda like the Wings at this point.
-
I love Eaves.
-
True. They better be pissed and show up against a division rival that shut them out in the previous two meetings.
-
Wings were "too injured" in San Jose too.
-
Yes but Hawks have won at the Joe earlier this season and it's the second game of a back-to-back (luckily for Chicago too though). Close call and I would love to be wrong about this one.
-
One replacement would have to be Jussi Jokinen. The other would be a closer call, maybe Bergenheim. Jori Lehtera from SM-liiga could be a wild card. EDIT: It appears that both Selanne and Koivu will be good to go though.

Which team do you WANT to win? Finland Which team do you think WILL win? Canada Which team do you think will be a suprise? USA Which team do you think will ultimately choke? Sweden
