Forsberg to be playing soon and McGrattan may be on the move
Winther replied to Skiing - Puck's topic in General
Probably yea. I still think though that he will be able to play a couple more years if he can get his foot toghether. And it seems like he believes that to, its not like he stated that this is his last season or anything. -

Not at all, Umeå.. And im a Färjestad fan. I do think he will end up in MODO at some point, just don't think it'll be now. I know you're hoping though . What more than the media? Sure people are hoping, but has he stated that he wants to play in MODO this season himself? Thats really the only thing that matters. And local journalists are hoping just as much as everyone else, of course they want it to sound like hes going to stay in MODO. Forsberg is such a competitive person, why wouldnt he play with the best players in the world? (ya sure he hasn't won the Swedish campionship, but when you have a chance to win the stanley cup, thats not to big a choice you know ) -

Sure it makes sense, its only you övik people that think he will play for MODO this year.. . Actually it makes perfect sense to play another year in NHL for Forsberg.. I for one haven't heard any rumors about him staying in MODO, its only natural for him to practise with his old club in his home city.. No offence, but i think the local media in övik are quite biased towards him playing there, and only wants to make it sound like he is going to stay there. Just my two cents . Oh, and i live quite close to övik aswell, so i think im not completely off base here . Anyways, it would be nice with a healthy foppa, but i think there's no way he'll be playing here. He has actually stated somewhere that Detroit isn't one of the teams he would like to join, if i recall it correctly. And, lets face it, he will be injured within 10 games.. -
Heh, yea i saw this the other day, i also tried to find an article. This is so typical for Aftonbladet.. Just trying to sell papers..

Im from sweden.. Emma became famous competing in the swedish version of Survivor. Shes working for one of the big swedish tv-channels right now, has had her own show.. "doubly blessed" yea , but shes not the stupid brunette with big boobs that loves to party, now the impression you get from hearing her atleast. Seems to be a girl with both feet on the ground, Zetts has scored there . -
Well for starters i bet there is a heck of a lot of cultural differences to take into consideration.. I bet his picture of a training camp is that you train for the upcoming season, much more than he thought.. And to me it seems hes willing to do quite a lot to get a chance to play in NHL. And as others have already said, what would you do if you were in his situation? Think about that for a while, a child and wife, none of you even know the language, and if you decide to go homw a big fat paycheck awaits you, and safety, a culture you know well, your home and family are close.. I could go on. Not everything in life is hockey you know, i think Igor knows that quite well considering his history.

Horcoff's also good friends with Cleary i believe, they played on the same line in Mora IK in sweden during the lockout.

http://www.outsidethegarden.com/boards/for...=74&start=1 Rangers have roughly 4 mill in capspace left it seems.. Whats up with jagrs contract, i thought he earned like 8 mill? All in all, i think they have done a very good job this offseason, aside from not signing Nylander and instead Gomez. Thats the one thing i would have done different.. But hey in no GM . Was wondering, do you rangers fans think its possible they might drop some dead weight, just to be able to have some deadline capspace? (a.k.a. Cullen or Malik it seems )

I dont get all you guys comparing with goals made last year? ok so weve lost a few guys, but hey, we still have a really good lineup! When our young guns gets more icetime they'll start to produce more aswell, np. WE've got a really talented bunch of hockeyplayers up front, and if you check player by player im sure our offence are just as good as most other teams. You cant really compare from year to year, things changes.. f.a. with schneids gone, lids is probably going to take more shots from the point -> more goals. Same goes for whoever is replacing williams (samuelsson? )... Guys like filpulla and hudler will get more minutes instead of f.a. bertuzzi.. and so on. I just dont get why people worry so much over this, this is not last season you know..

come on man, slow down. You dont know how kenny thinks.. And im sure they have it planned good for the future. stop complaining about everything!

Comparing Preissing to lids?? just sayin.. schneider at 5 mill is overpriced, right? and we did quite welll without him in the playoffs aswell. Instead of schneider, you add a couple of other guys, like others have said. F.a. Preissing and Sutton/Hannan, or Priessing + 2 mill and Markov, i would say it would be much better then signing schneids.. Ok, so the pp wasn't that great after schneider was gone, but on the other hand, this isn't last season. And you have a whole 82 games to fix it, if not sooner with a trade come deadline time (with those 2 mill perhaps ?). In the long term, preissing is a far more viable option imo.

I just keep thinking, so many people here are so spoiled. Yea lets sign bert for 1.5, hasek for same as last year and schneids for 3, because the wings are so great and theyre actually so lucky to be here.. They should be grateful and take hometown discounts just like that? C'mon people, they are great players all three, back to reality now!

During the lockout he was playing in sweden, and i think he were outplayed by several others f.a. Gerber, Lundqvist etc.. He then played in Luleå Hockey, which is known for a physical style of play, although not the defensive one that minnesota plays. Hes not one of the better goalies out there, id rather have osgood as a starter then him actually.
