I was talking to Mark Hartigan & his brother just after the Red Wings parade ended, and they were telling me how great Detroit was. Bonus points if you remember that Hartigan was on the Ducks last year. Of course, they mentioned the Anaheim "parade" was merely a rally in the parking lot. They were both just blown away by how many people turned out all along Woodward. Everyone was loving it, I walked myself down Woodward just before the parade started, all the way from Hockeytown Cafe to Hart Plaza, and indeed, there was people packed 10 deep along both sides of the street the entire way. My guess is we wont see a city top that unless its in Canada, I'm guessing Vancouver, Montreal, or Toronto would be insanity.

Its funny reading the comments in this thread. Very funny to read people's feelings at midseason especially now that Oz has lead us to the Cup...not to brag, but I got to discuss this very subject with the man himself on parade day. I told him now that he's won another Cup as the starting goaltender, this clinches his HOF status. He said "Hall of Fame...maybe the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame...rofl" - yes he actually rofl'd :rotflmao:

I can confirm, it was Brett Lebda that dropped the Cup. The damage was minimal, however the Cup Keeper guy had to take it for awhile and fix it. Kyle Quincey was the last guy with the Cup at Cheli's before it had to go to the hospital he told me the whole story. This summer is going to be the best ever!
