Since I will probably be too excited and nervous on Thursday to do much of anything else, I've created a checklist of Red-Wing based stuff that I need to do to pass the time until game-time. If anyone else has one...please share! -Get my jersey (Zetterberg) and wash my 2002 Stanley Cup Champs shirt to wear underneath. -Stop by 7-Eleven and pick up a red (cherry) slurpee, with a red straw, of course! -Get out the red car window paint, and decorate the heck out of my car. And put my Wings flag on one of my wingdows. <- (This will be my favorite out of everything!) -Read the pre-playoffs Free Press sports section. -Make my annual playoffs homemade sign. Even though the only people who see it is the fam (because I don't have tickets to the game) it's always fun to hold up. -Twiddle my thumbs and sit restless until the puck drops. Here's hoping that everyone has a great Thursday and that we can sleep easy on Thursday night with a lead in the series!

Scott Burnside gave this predictions on ESPN.com... "How do you feel about seven straight one-goal games? As terrific a series this promises to be, this season's Red Wings have a bit more sand than previous editions; the Flames, a little less. That'll make all the difference. Detroit in seven."

I only know about the Wings games. Sorry. They will be on FSN.

the way I see it is... let them say what they want. It will just be one more thing that they will regret ever saying if we win in June.

I hope that he will be back. He might not put up the offense, but it's not like the team's short on goal scorers. When a team has such success as the Wings do with scorers, some players need to bring another element other than offense. I think that Malts does that. Besides, he is still part of the heart and soul of the team. I really hope it doesn't happen. I still like him. He brings a lot of other positives to the team other than goal scoring. Hope he brings it this year in the playoff's like last year. That first game was amazing.

I just found out that I will be out of town on April 14-18. I know that the Wing's regular season officially ends on the 7th, but I was wondering if anyone knew how long after the regular season, do the playoffs start. I was hoping to miss as little games as possible, if not any. So if anyone has an idea when the playoffs start, I would deeply appreciate finding out. You guys and gals gotta promise me, that if I do happen to miss one (crossing my fingers not to) that you'll cheer extra loud for me, and hold down the LGW fort. Thanks in advance

Just found out that I'm going to Washington D.C from April14 -18. I don't know the playoff schedule yet. How long after the regular season ends, do the playoffs begin? If I am gone during a game(s), please cheer them on extra loud for me. I'll try my best to catch everything that I can. But I'm not sure how much I will be able to.

I have to do a huge project for school that's due tomorrow. So it's just gonna be me and my radio tonight. I'll try to check in with you guys every once and awhile. Let's Go Red Wings! THe losing streak ends here!

My dad taped the game that day, because we were having a family get together. We turned it on right in the middle of the fight, just to check the score. We stood there and watched the whole rest of the brawl. I was jumping on the couch! It was so cool. Man, I wish I knew where that tape was. I'll have to venture into the basement someday soon and look. Hope no one stupidly taped over it. That would suck.

The thing that gets me is Babcock's claim that he never believes that a player will try to harm another on purpose. I'm not saying that Nieminen was out to get Lebda, but he also wasn't checking Lebda blindly or letting up any. But how can Babcock believe that no one intenionally tries to do something when this has happened so many times before? Even if the severity of the hit was an accident, there is always an intention of some sort whenever someone goes in to check another player, like the one I saw Nieminen do yesterday. That's my thought of the day.

I can't believe that Joey's gone! I just saw him being interviewed on Red Wings Weekly this morning. I liked him. Okay, back to business... I'm following Shirley Temple's directions, I'm trying to be optimistic about tonight. So hopefully they can salvage some good out of this weekend. It hasn't been the best week/end for me or the Wings. (My eighteen year old neighbor died this week in a snowmobile accident.) GO WINGS!!! GIVE IT TO THEM ANNOYING PREDS!
