sigh, what hockey used to be.

Oh how I hate Versus with a passion. Correction, I hate Dish Network for making it more $ to get the channel. I hope the Wings do well tonight. :fingers crossed:.

Last night's game made me want to cry. It was bad all around. BUT, I still love them Wings!

Please promise me that the LGW forums will never go as low and distasteful as the LGB forums!

Roses are red, and the Wings are too, St. Louis will be true to their name tonight, because by the end of the game, they will be blue. LET'S GO RED WINGS

"Wing Dongs"? "Maltby's Girls"? Ay yi yi, they don't like us much, to say the least. Oh well. C'mon Mac, prove them wrong! I don't mean to be philosophical, but I thought this quote is perfect for having Mac in goal tonight... "Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to." GO WINGS!!!!

I love 'em so much, I wonder if the Wings would be my Valentine Really looking forward to the game tonight, no special reason, just because it's Wings hockey! I'm not sure that Whine, I mean Wayne Gretzky's brain can handle another temper tantrum. Last time, it looked like his veins were going to pop! LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!! Here's to hopefully being only 1 point behind Nashville by the end of the night! :beerbuddy:

That's one of the biggest understatements that I've heard in a long time.

I think some of Maltby's best checks are in that second video. Anyways, I always enjoy replaying the golden years of that rivalry. If you read some of the comments after the second video, there are some funny ones, there worth reading, even though I didn't agree with some of them ( i.e. Avs Fans). That quote in the origional article where Lemieux makes a scene after he gets suspended from the games just boils my blood even more.

i like so many of them that it's hard to pick just one

By far... Number 19. At least out of the players that I have seen play during my lifetime. I know that he's not the one with the title of Mr. Hockey, but I chose him because of more than just his ability and skill. His courage, heroism, and the amount of respect that he shows counts a lot in my vote.
