I see it as less of an Yzerman thing and more of a Zetterberg thing. I think they wanted to put Bert next to Zets(who is probably close to Dats, I dont know) because I'm sure the Wings, just like the fans, see Zets as the future face of the franchise. So they're tryin to do everything they can to make Bert and Zets close so that maybe if someone takes a run at Zets, Bert will take it personal and lay a beat down on them. Or maybe it was the only locker left, who knows.

Don't feel bad for Nick, his goals may be getting stolen by Homer but he's still putting up points.

Oh i hope no one took what I said as blaming Hasek or anything. Hasek is awesome, outside of MAYBE Brodeur theres no one I would rather have in our net. Even being over 40 hasnt made him inferior, hes still an elite goalie. This thread is just another lost game thread where someone finds a scapegoat and goes on a rant about it. I was giving possible explanations for some of the things he does besides that All Hail Hasek.

I think his reaction times have dulled some and he isn't quite the same goalie on the breakaway as he used to be so I think he comes out to for the suicide dives to cover his own perceived weakness. As for the roaming, I think that comes from his being bored at seeing so few shots that he tries to get himself involved.

I dont have so much a problem with Peters although he didnt have to beat down Emery like he did, but at least he defended his goalie, where were the Senators while their goalie was getting absolutely pummeled. And the hit was a late infamous high shoulder hit, but thats how players hit now, use those thick shoulder pads to pummel the player. Look at every big hit this year, every player leads with those bulky shoulder pads now. Murray shouldve been smart enough to know not to send his top skill line out there right afterwards, especially after the fighting that followed the hit. Thats not to say that he could never use his top line the rest of the game its just that he shouldve known Ruff would goon it up after that and to put his own goons out there to fight them, to quell it down. and make it safe for his skill players.

Maybe soft wasn't the best word but he obviously thought he should have had that first one and was mad he didn't.

Tonight showed why I like Hasek so much as a goalie, gives up a softie and he plays his butt off to make up for it. Plus he's gotta be the luckiest goalie ever, always on his back and players shoot it right into him.

I believe this game can be summed up in one sentence: Thank you Lord for Adrian Aucoin and Dominik Hasek.

I'm hoping Dats realizes that Zetterberg makes him much, much better and vice-versa. Z needs to sit him down when the season is over and beg him to come back. These two need each other, when they are seperated(as we saw at the beginning of the season) neither puts up amazing stats, when they are working together they are nearly unstoppable and put together some of the prettiest goals ever.

hey loo your in Texas right? so are you watching it on FSN SW because maybe its just me but I'm getting no announcer audio just stadium noise(not that im complaining its actually better w/o announcers), just wondering if I was the only one.

I noticed it last game too, he gives off so many rebounds. Hes LUCKY he's only given up 6 goals because the defense has really bailed him out on some bad plays in the net, especially one where he was facing toward the net and the puck was behind him.

I find it slightly funny that everyone was so worried about Hasek's health at the start of the year and Osgood has been the one thats been out almost all season with injuries.
