  1. Zuke has been moved down to AHL again, and -according to norwegian newspapers - he is concidering asking to be traded if he is not given a good reason for him playing with the AHL-Whales.

    Espen Knutsen (former NHL-player) says:

    - I´m surprised he´s been sent down. He should give it some time, but he should not stay to long in the AHL. It´s not good mentally, and he should check out the possibility for a trade.

    Zuccarellos agent, Erik Ryman, says:

    - We have talked about it, it would be stupid not to. But we first want to find out what Rangers want to do. It could be they just sent him down to give him icetime. We will have to talk with the Rangers. You can´t put him on a checking-line, Nettavisen is told.

Zuke is skilled.. Would he fit the Wings..?

  2. Thanx all! Ive been looking thorugh some sites, and it should be possible to watch NHL GameCenter, eg through AppleTV or Playstation - but you have to make it look like your IP is from outside Scandinavia, it seems... Not quite sure how to do this, but as I love the game, I am not giving up on this.

  3. @Norwegian Red Wing...

It's still uncertain what was really happened between ESPN America and NHL.

If the rights was so expensive, how the hell Premier tv from the UK and Sport TV from Portugal which are nor big nor rich tv stations got the rights

Not sure.. Think scandinavian Viasat was in the bidding though.. So it might be them ending up with the games. Not sure - but for me it has allways been ESPN America when it comes to NHL. I just think its sad..

@LidstromIsASuperhero: No Versus Americe - that would have been nice though ;)

@Kenny and rrasco: Thanx guys. Will check this out.. but bah, I want it on the big-screen TV goddammit..:sly:

  4. Im just sad.. Two days before season-opener it was known that ESPN America (the one provider of NHL-games to tv-viewers in Europe) would not send any games this season. NHL was asking too much, it was said..

Then news was updated with ESPNAnot giving up, but still trying to buy the rights from Medge Consulting (owning rights in Europe).

    But now it is final...

The following is the latest statement from ESPN America on the NHL TV rights for the UK and Europe:

“Unfortunately, the NHL will not be part of the programming schedule on ESPN and ESPN America in the UK, Ireland or Nordic countries this season.

ESPN spoke to the NHL and their rights holders about continuing a partnership in these regions but we could not reach an agreement that worked for everyone.

We wish the National Hockey League and its new partners all the best while we remain in active discussions with them about coverage in many other parts of Europe.”

..as if this is not enough, NHL GameCenter is not available for us this season either, as far as I can see...

I feel sick.. Just had to let this out.. :(

  5. What did Sweden's team look like?

Well, good enough to beat Norway with several goals if they had just kept played hockey ;)

Players like Loui Eriksson (Dallas), Backlund (Calgary), Ekman Larsson (Phoenix), Tedenby (NJ), Berglund (St.Louis), Pajaarvi (Edmonton)

    Here is Team Sweden: LINK

Stats from the game can be seen HERE

  6. Might be a bad search, but I was not able to find a thread about the WC 2011.

Just felt I -had- to make a thread as NORWAY beat big brother SWEDEN 5-4 SO last night :)

Sweden with 9 NHL-players in the team - Norway with zero (as Zuccarello (NYR) was injured and Holos (COL) didnt make the game in time to play). And KHL-champion Patrick Thoresen said no thanks to play the WC for Norway this year.

But hey, who cares. NORWAY BEAT SWEDEN - In HOCKEY!

Huuuge! The players celebrated like they won the whole WC. Couldnt fint a video with english speak, but here are some highlights with finnish commentators:

Edit: Who do you guys think will win it this year? My bet is Canada.
