Very bottom of this article is confirmation. http://kuklaskorner.com/index.php/tmr/comments/ftr_post_no_selke_for_red_wings_pavel_datsyuk

I dunno, we'll figure it out when one of them retires.

http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/firehouse/whenilookintoyoureyes.html FIREHOUSE - "When I Look Into Your Eyes" I see forever when I look in your eyes You're all I've ever wanted I always want you to be mine Let's make a promise to the end of time We'll always be together And our love will never die So here we are face to face and heart to heart I want you to know we will never be apart Now I believe that wishes can come true 'Cause when I see my whole world I see only you

Does he have a habit of bopping field mice on the head?

I need a prayer answered, please.....no toot-toot whistles.

WINNING indeed. Well played, sir. -
Does anyone have a link to the proposed schedule? I'm going to try and show my dissatisfaction with the NHL by going to a game or two.
-
Even their own home games? That's a good trick!

I know there are about 10 different injury threads and some folks follow this stuff way closer than I do, so.... Can someone please post a list of all the Wings and their current status (i.e. are they ready to start the season or are they hurt?)? Here's a list so all you kind folks have to do is reply and put the status next to their names. Thanks! Datsyuk Zetterberg Franzen Filppula Samuelsson Cleary Helm Bertuzzi Tootoo Abdelkader Brunner Eaves Nyquist Miller Mursak Emmerton Kronwall Quincy Ericsson White Colaiacovo Kindl Smith Howard Gustavsson

I think with the possibility of rusty goalies and some rusty defensive players (the ones who didn't go overseas) that 50 in 48 has a chance at happening.

I was reading an article somewhere yesterday that said he was injured in Mid-November and now he's on schedule for coming back right at the perfect time.. I guess that means 6 weeks of recovery and a couple weeks to get ready for the season. I had completely forgotten about Tootoo. Couldn't stand him as a Pred. Giving him the benefit of the doubt as a Wing.

The first time through I read this is as "pre-game PARTY" - very appropriate since it always seems like Murph is drunk.
-
Thanks for the reply. Weren't Helm and Filppula injured? I guess they are healed now?

Fan frustration to blame? http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/blog/eye-on-hockey/21478569/nhl-lockout-how-frustrated-are-fans-detroit-is-booing-wings-gm

I was at the game in Nashville. Watching it live was a trip (pun intended).

The Blue Jackets, Pistons and Stars made the list. Surprisingly, Phoenix didn't. After this nonsensical lockout, I think EVERY NHL team is probably going to lose some.. http://247wallst.com/2012/11/26/13-pro-teams-running-out-of-fans/2/

It HAS to be true if Santa said it to a toddler. http://aol.sportingnews.com/nhl/story/2012-12-07/santa-claus-fired-maple-leafs-suck-3-year-old-cries-paul-bunyan-comments?modid=recommended_1_5

wait.. are you saying Santa's not real?

He's a traitorous switch hitter.

Mildly entertaining on a slow news morning.

And then it got called back for goaltender interference - yeah, that was wicked! haha

I just read that it's the Wizard's 40th birthday. Happy Birthday, Chris!

Various threads got me thinking.. if I were a locked out NHL player, where would I play? Assume your country of origin is still your country of origin. If you're from the US, you're still from the US, etc.. Would you go overseas and try and cash in? Would you play closer to home to be near family? Would you choose a third option just to live in that place for awhile? Personally, I think I would use the time to go somewhere I've never been. Choose a bit of a lower league overseas and try to tear it up.
