Did you miss the part last year where they got a new Billionaire owner who basically threw his checkbook on the table and said, "I want the Cup?" They are no longer hindered by the need to pinch pennies. Don't forget, they signed LAME-o to a 6year/27Mil deal. The new owner is willing to spend money. I'm with ya - great game. Lots of cheering, yelling and drinking by the red and white crew in my section! The Stars crowd was VERY subdued. A much different atmosphere than Nashville. Say what you want about Nashville and their chants, but the crowds there are into the game. The Stars crowd was anything but. Granted, they were losing all night, but still they lacked enthusiasm about anything. I had a good time tho and checked another arena off the bucket list. Plus, I met the guy below at a local bar afterwards... 100 internet coolz pointz to the first person to identify the mystery man in the middle.

This is my second one in a month. Hehe. Not too bad considering where I live.

Cruising up I40 right now, headed for Nashville. Let's go wings! Sitting in section 102! Last wings game I was at in Nashville was the epic shootout game.

I heard the commercial from the other room and I had to run in and rewind it.. The Mule and a Dodge Ram in a commercial to announce the Red Wings special edition Dodge Ram. Can you imagine that? That's got to be a cool feeling even though you know you're going to ride the pine the whole game. Are you secretly crossing your fingers that someone runs the starting goalie just so you can get in the game? Does anyone have any idea what a contract like that would pay? Is it league minimum divided by 82? Or is there a special pay bracket for pro tryout / amateur contracts like this? p.s. If you haven't read the article, you should. It's pretty funny.

Matt Lauer.. ugh.. he can't even read a teleprompter correctly, apparently. I was listening to an interview with Jeffery Ross where he talked about roasting Matt Lauer.
