I don't mind the ice girls. If you're at the arena, it gives you something to do during tv time outs. If you're at home, you probably won't even see them for more than a minute or two during the whole game. Also, if it gets the crowd hyped up in the arena, where is the harm?

I like how they update the events after the games are over to reflect the scores. Also, if any one has a Blackberry, this will work as well. You just have to install GSync for Blackberry. Android phones of course work since they are gmail calendar native.

How in the hell is #22 going to be used? It was destined for the rafters!!! Seriously, neat article. Side note - Gonna be weird to see someone in Fischer's number. I'm not saying that #2 needed to be retired, I'm just saying that once Smith hits the big leagues, it's gonna take a couple dozen games to adjust to it.

WHAT THE HELL?? I think at the 1:30 mark, 2 guys run in, separately, and jiggle a player's "business". And people think Hudler's "cluck" is weird. He's got nothing on that.

I read it.. For the record, I'll probably watch it but not as intently as I would if the Wings were in it. When the Wings were in it, we made a whole day of it at my house - grilling out, etc etc.

Which in a free market system will drive their prices down. Right now the KHL overpays NHL players because there are so few that go. Dump a bunch of mid-to-upper level NHLers on the free market and the prices drop for most of them. There will still be the few that get crazy money because they are crazy good, but for most the price would drop simply because of an abundance of talent to go around.. Surely the players and their agents could see that. -
