Yes, they flew to SJ immediately after the 'Yotes game last night. They were talking about it on one of the hockey shows tonight.

Normally I would agree with not jacking with the national anthem, but the crowd here at the local hockey rink started emphasizing the word FREE after 9/11. I think that's acceptable.

Wings management could petition to have him added, but he doesn't meet the criteria. However, I don't see what 'extenuating circumstances' that Ozzy would have gone through except getting outplayed by Howard. To have one's name engraved on the Stanley Cup certain requirements must be met. A player must have at least 41 games played with the club or one game played in the Stanley Cup Finals. However, in 1994 a stipulation was added to allow a team to petition the Commissioner for permission to have players' names put on the Cup if extenuating circumstances prevented them from being available to play.

One neat thing I saw on that list- Z scored his first ever regular season against Phoenix (2/7/07) and now he scored his first playoff hattie against them as well. I wonder if he's just got phoenix's number, so to speak.

I don't even know why I'm baited into replying to you, but here goes.. He's got 49 points, that places him in 4th on their roster. (5th in goals and 4th in assists) Based on your logic: no one is a huge part of the Wings' roster since they clearly aren't putting up Ovie/Crosby numbers. Playoff future as in the next couple months (possibly), not future as in years.
