Why can some of you not seem to grasp this simple truth about this rule: The puck going over the line AFTER the whistle is irrelevant. He was raising the whistle to his mouth. The NHL has always counted that as intent to blow. This is not a new rule. Does it suck tonight? Yes. Is it some stupid conspiracy by Gary Bettman? Give me a frigging break. Is it a conspiracy by the NHL? Or the refs? Yeah, sure, put your tinfoil hat down please. It's a loss. It sucks. I think it's a funny concept that is funny posted HERE. To post it on their forum is bad taste at best/trolling at worst. Also, it only encourages them to do something similar if and/or when the Wings get beat. Thusly, unnecessary forum wars start.

Another lackluster effort by the Wings allows St. Louis to remain in the playoff hunt by gaining a valuable 2 points. OR After deciding that losing really sucks, the Wings decide to play inspired hockey and deprive the Blues of a much needed win. I can't decide how it'll go, but I'll be glued to the tv.
