My first thought was - WHO? I thought this thread was about a prospect the Wings were looking at. hehehe I thought the game was well called. The "let go" calls were fairly equal despite the 20,000 refs in the seats. I think they let the teams play but not to the point where it got out of control and not to the point where power plays decided the game.

I definitely think it was intentional. I counted about a half dozen shots/nudges/etc to Frazen's noggin. Cheap, dirty play. I guess they figure if they can't beat the Wings cleanly, they'll try to use any advantage they can. Instead of the Philly's "Legion of Doom" maybe they're Pitt's "Legion of Dicks".

There weren't any Wings close. By the time they get there to retaliate, it definitely becomes a penalty. That could possibly result in a power play and/or goal by the Deadbirds. Remember, the refs sometimes miss the 1st contact but they usually see the 2nd. The Wings to needs to stick up for each other, but in that instance (as s***ty as it was) the right move was to let it go.

One of the tenets of being a Captain on a hockey team is leadership. Leadership can be expressed in many ways. Leadership is control over those you "captain". Leadership can be expressed in both verbal and literal ways. Don't play dirty. Don't hit people with concussions in the head. MAF, don't "ass-check" Wing players if you're not willing to get hit. Don't lose your composure when down a couple goals. Stop the endless and needless parade to the penalty box. I only ask you to work as hard as I do. (um...) This is just a short list off the top of my head. I'm sure there are a hundred more, but they all lead to the same conclusion: Sidney Crosby is a horrible leader. He's lost control (if he ever had any) of the team he "captains". p.s. this has nothing to do with Canada, so please don't blame them.

Great goal. I bet if Crosby scores that goal it goes down as "#1 GOAL OF PLAYOFFS!!!!1111!!!!!!" However, since the Wings did it (*gasp* a second/third liner to boot), it will quickly be forgotten.
