In addition to the FREEP, I made Red Wings live tonight. They zoom in on the HELLO STANLEY button my friend is wearing. They zoom out to his Preds jersey. They then pan to me in the Z jersey while I'm holding up my fluorescent orange sign. GAMES REMAINING UNTIL THE PREDATORS ARE GOLFING 4 3 2 1 (the 4 and 3 are crossed out) good times.

I've been to games at both the Sommet and the JLA and even in a regular season matchup - the Sommet wins for loudness. disclaimer: I've never been to a playoff game at the JLA - just regular season. I've been to the GEC/Sommet for both regular season and playoffs. Maybe it's the design of the building, I dunno, but that friggin place is loud. Or, as someone else pointed out - the JLA crowd could be a tad spoiled. The Sommet crowd is the group of kids who still believe in Santa Claus - they cheer and scream because it's all new (playoffs, etc).

St Louis and Nashville for Wing games. Edmonton, Alberta for a game between the Oilers and the Habs. Continental Airlines Arena for a game between the Avs and the Devils. Meadow Lake, SASK for some minor/local league game. Upstate NY, various places.

I concur, it's pretty funny. Gotta love his commitment to it. A $200 personalized jersey. I don't think I dislike another team enough to spend that kinda of dough for a jersey with their name on it.. Besides, 'Jackets Suck.. doesn't really seem all that cool.

Well, this is a strange development. My friend and I were walking around in front of the Sommet before the game and I was taking pictures, soaking up the experience. I see this guy with a Wings Suck jersey and I took a picture of it because I thought it was amusing. As I'm doing it, this guy runs up and says, "Do that again!" I ask him what for and he says he's with the Detroit press pool and he wants a picture of me taking a picture. Whatever. So, I fake taking the picture again and this guy starts snapping away. He asks me a couple questions and then he goes to chat with the "Wings Suck" guy. Lo and behold, I check the FREEP website today and there I am. Picture #2. FREEP's photo gallery

I was browsing through the pictures I took and I found one of the FREEP guy. I figured he took my picture, I'll take his. hehe Mr Wings Suck had a sign on that reads "Death before I am a Wings fan." He made the FREEP slideshow as well.

Decided on a nice after game meal at Morton's. If you've never been to a Morton, save your pennies and make the trip. I had an UNBELIEVABLE steak. This steak was so tender and juicy.

Why isn't he re-signed? The answer is as follows. Detroit is expecting the "hometown discount" like they do with everyone. Babcock is resisting that and playing the 3 seasons, 50 wins card. He wants to get paid. Plain and simple.
