I like Ovechkin more, mostly because of his energy, but i think Malkin will turn out to be the most complete of the three, so i'd go with him.

Satan? Really? Brooks Laich is a better player than Satan. Washington's firepower cancels with Pittsburgh's. I'd say defense and whether or not Varlamov feels the pressure are the keys to this series.

When are you done? I'm done on the 6th so i get to head home and catch game 4, but no game one. It pisses me off though. VS was an awful decision by the NHL.

Don't forget Andy McDonald, at that point he was arguably their best forward. The Ducks can't match the Wings if we play our best game, we need to come out strong and not let up.

I'd say one out of ten is a stretch, and thats just for the penalties handed out during the game. Suspensions are issued accordingly just about every time.

The Joe, in my opinion, can't be compared to Tiger Stadium. If we're talkin Olympia, then ok. It's not like the Joe has been around forever.

Don't you think non-wings fans would think our series is boring? I mean, it has been completely one sided. Both teams are competitive in the Car/NJ series and it's tied at 2-2.

I really tried not to sound like a dick when i posted, i guess i used the wrong choice of words, sorry if it came off that way. I should have probably not posted at all. Just saying that people will do whatever it takes to throw that octopus, while not giving a crap what anyone thinks.

Unfortunately, your opinion on this is irrelevant. I'm not saying that your opinion is worthless though, you make a good point. All teams have disrespectful fans, including the wings, and those idiots would give their freedom just to get an octopus on the ice.

Yeah, the puck definately went in, and luongo was pushed in by his own player. i guess the ref felt the play was dead.

Those guys with the most protection are also the least replaceable. They get paid to stop frozen rubber, not get punched in the head. Wheter it was a love tap or not, teams don't want their goalie in that situation. Lose a starting goalie and your team is screwed, lose a forward and guys can fill in. And i think man love is the wrong choice, they certainly didn't laugh it off together afterwords.

Both of those were hand to head, if the sticks were involved both guys that got hit would be on the ice bleeding.

Avery should be suspended, whether the goalie felt it or not. Carcillo and Lucic have both been suspended this playoff for the exact same thing. Punching anyone in the face when they aren't expecting it should be suspendable and Avery did it twice. I'm so sick of this guy. Should he be kicked out of the league? No, but they need to send him a message. If it continues they need to get harsher.

Wings went down 0-2 losing both home games, same with San Jose this year. I'm pretty sure thats what hes gatting at, but really the only thing that says is that its possible for San Jose to comeback in this series which is obvious because they have not lost 4 games yet.

Remember though, in 2002 Dats played 21 games (6 pts) on the 4th line and wasn't asked to lead his team to victory. Joe has always been the #1 guy. Even taking away that playoff year from Datsyuk there is a dropoff from regular season stats though, so your comparison is still valid. I just think the pressure gets to Joe sometimes.
