Not to be a jackass or anything, but this argument kinda sucks. You'd really say no to that guy just because we have another guy like him? Maybe he could show Helm a few things about putting the puck in the net and if he puts up 30-40 points in the meantime, then why not? I don't think it's absolutely essential that we sign Modano, but I think he can help our team.

The St. Pete Times Forum is the only other NHL building I've been to besides the Joe. So, I guess you can say I have a history with the Lightning. It was funny because they were playing the Wild, but there were other Wings fans sitting behind us.

I see. I think it's possible that he meant 08 cup run. Osgood gave up 30 in 19 games that year.

Where are you getting this info from? Osgood gave up 48 goals in the 98 cup run. Howard has given up 30 this year. Am I missing something?

Who cares, the Wings need to win on Thursday. BTW, 1975 Islanders. Also, the Red Sox did it in 04 against the Yankees, if you care about baseball.

I don't see any passion from him until the play stops and scrums start. He doesn't seem to have those hockey instincts. He doesn't know where guys are on the ice, he doesn't make smart passes, and he doesn't work for loose pucks. I think he could do it, but he doesn't seem to want to step up.

Ozzie doesn't dig you out of a 3 game hole, plain and simple. Howard sucked, there's no arguing that, but the Wings are playing like individuals and not a team. If they remember to play like they did near the end of the season, they still have a slight chance.

Ernie was beyond legendary. Near the end of that video they show a guy with a sign that reads "How a person should be" and he is absolutely right. You will be missed.

The Wings might not lose another game in this series. At worst this is a 6 game series in our favor. I'm not saying this because the Sharks are chokers, I'm saying this because we are the much better team.

Even as a rookie it's not difficult to know when you need to get your ass back on a play like that. It's not up to Green to be responsible for Carlson's backcheck. Communication is important, but he shouldn't have to yell for help in that situation.
