Ugh. I'm not about to say anything good about the Hawks. I live here and I hate their fans so much. I don't know what's more annoying, the Hawks fans who already think Toews and Kane are better that Zetterberg and Datsyuk, or the soon to be bandwagoners. Good for Toews though, I guess.

Everyone keeps talking about Lidstrom's age, but the beauty of his game is his smarts. Nick just slows the pace of a game at will, and will break up some of the most dangerous plays with one solid play. His defensive game is pricless and the only one who comes close is Niedermeyer. I think that's what makes a good defenseman, and this is why his +/- is so high every year. I remember last year some ESPN columnist saying Dan Boyle should be considered for the Norris, at -29, that's just idiotic! Point totals are nice but they are not everything, and should not be first priority of a good d-man. Although, I think our PP is going to be sick this year and Nick's totals will definitely benefit from it.

Whatever happened to just being an *******? Also, Emery has taken responsibility for his actions so none of this really matters at all.

I saw Fish at the parade, he looked really happy and healthy. I didn't know he was working for the Wings but that's great to hear.

1) Chicago I live in Chicago and even though they have had a bad team as far as I can remember, they still take as much satisfaction out of beating the Wings more than anything. I was at a Hawks vs Blues game last season and before the game the crowd chants "LET"S GO HAWKS, DETROIT SUCKS!" It's pretty funny when you talk to Hawks fans here, because the first thing they bring up is the Hawks winning the regular season series....at that point I bring up our cup and their lack of one....or the fact that they were out of the playoffs... 2) Anaheim Any team with Chris Pronger annoys the hell out of me. He is as low class off the ice as he is on it. It's funny because when Pronger played for the Blues I actually had respect for the team and him. His Edmonton shannagins changed that and everything to follow. It doesn't help that the only player on that team I like is Mat. I also hate cocky ass Getzlaf, he's a dick. 3) Nashville I've always hated the Preds, nothing more needs to be said other than catfish, country music, and Tootoo.

Oh man, I have been wanting Rolston for years now..if it happened I would explode. Think about it, he is perfect for our system, a forward with size that is defensively responsible and has a shot that explodes off his stick. That's such a perfect compliment to Val it's not even funny. Add Franzen to that line and those guys plus/minus would be on top of the NHL. This is the type of player our 2nd line has craved since Shanny left. Although, I'm with everyone who says pass if his demands are unrealistic.
