What's with RuutuandHavlatownZetterberg having 'Zetterberg' in his name? ...Jealous?

Can anyone tell me how much does Mike Babcock makes coaching? Do teams even disclose that information?

Random question...how much does Babcock make coaching?

I swear half the time Datsyuk doesn't shoot, he would of scored.

This pisses me off, EVERYTIME I need that NHL TV to work something goes wrong. Now it says BLACKOUT next to the Wings game.

Yeah, tried to get that to work during the preseason but it didn't. I'll try it again now.

I can't. Well...I can but that's just depressing.
-
It wasn't even loading for me...sigh...... I'm listening to Ken Kal instead which isn't so bad.
-
Well then I'm not suprised that I have to be at work.

As much as I dislike Jordin Tootoo, that seemed like a good spirited fight.

I went to the opener last night. It was the first game I had seen at the Joe for years and it was a blast. The only thing that really bothered me was the balance of booing between Bertuzzi and the extraordinarily large TOOL, Chris Pronger. I was really hoping the fans at the Joe wouldn't give Bert too hard of a time. I knew a bunch of assholes would ride that wave but I was surprised to see how many actually did. In fact, people were talking s*** about him all night. I know that happens to a lot of players who leave teams but Bertuzzi had never disrespected Detroit and he was a rental after all. He left for the right reasons. My point in all this is that Pronger is the bigger *******. Have we all forgotten his quotes in the media after his suspension on Holmstrom? I mean seriously, is there a bigger cockier ****** bag in the league? I wanted the crowd to really lay it into him, but it was kind of disappointing. The antics I saw from him last night (I swear I saw him chop guys every time the play went the other way and the ref wasn't looking, he's very good at that) were disgusting. Also, I don't know if it was on TV but Pronger got hit in the face with a stick after going after Homer. It was great. I for one will boo (and I did) him until my voice box goes out. edit: sp

I suppose, but that depends on whether you agree booing Fedorov is right. Or for that matter, booing Matt Schneider. I'm not saying nobody should boo Bertuzzi, but I just think Chris Pronger hurt our team more than anyone in the league and his personality should go hand in hand with the booing.

I was at the Joe last night and the crowd seemed fine to me. There were empty seats here and there but generally I noticed a very diverse crowd. Perhaps it was only because it was the opener but I was suprised by it. Lot's of young people I might add so I'm not so worried anymore.

I'm going to be at this game tonight boys and girls!! It's been too long since I've been to the Joe, I'm so excited I can't wait until work is over.

Mmmm...now were talking... People seem to forget that Luongo has saved the Canucks franchise. The Wings would have been over the top even without Datsyuk. Even if Pavel left, there is no guarantee he would of resigned with Florida. If he would have, my suspicion is that you would have seen Gomez, Drury, or Briere in a Wings jersey.

Meech can't be sent down without going through waivers and if he was then someone would pick him up for sure. Quincey doesn't have that, so him staying in GR protects our investment. Sopel's defensive breakdowns scare me, so I'd like to see him with Lidstrom or Rafalski. Lidstrom and Rafalski together seems like overkill.

If I remember correctly there were some media articles I read (when the trade happened) that Johnson didn't want to play for the Hurricanes and probably never would have. BTW, I go to WMU and have seen his play for MIchigan. He's definately a big boy on the ice and very solid in his own zone. I still say Carolina got screwed in this trade. Were there no better offers for Johnson around the league? That's hard to believe.

I never knew the actual story of Grigger's accident, very interesting. Hopefully he can regain some of that "explosiveness." Mlive:
