Hmmm, looks like a Rolling Rock to me . . .

The first thing I have to wonder about is your relationship and your role in it. My man would never call me a ***** (even though I can be bitchy at times ). Name calling in itself is immature and completely disrespectful. So two options here. Either you are being mean (or someone else in her life is) and causing her to be in a bitchy mood or she is a genuine not nice person.

I think Michiganders get that a lot, especially Yoopers. Since we're next to Canada we're going to have more of a Canadian sound than another midwest state like Indiana.

Thanks! It was Friday evening at sunset on a secluded beach on North Manitou Island.

Yeah, I guess it's wedding/engagement season. Thank you and congratulations to you!!!!

I have a new photo to share, but it's just of my hand . . . . .

1 hour till I leave for vacation! Going to the woods first and then the beach and getting away from civilization, running water, electricity, etc. LOVE IT.

Yay again!

Yay, Tigers won!

I do that too in times of stress. My best friend is actually moving apartments in Chicago right now. She lived alone in a studio for 3 years and is now moving in with a roommate. Have you considered a studio?

I'm so glad the weather cooled down. Yesterday was ridiculous.

Well Blake just won in 3 sets, and even though he is winning, he still seems a bit shaky. He will most likely see Ferrero next which should be a better test of him. I'm hoping he can pull through. I was just examining Federer's draw and I've got to say, he has a much more difficult draw it seems than Nadal. The Safin match should be fun to watch if Safin keeps his head on straight and his serve is on. Federer could then potentially face Haas and Blake in the quarters. I don't see him losing any of these of course, but I haven't watched him play yet this tournament. I'm just going to assume his game is as amazing and inexplicably perfect as usual.

I hope they can figure it out and he can get well soon! I'm sure they'll find it soon.

Getting a teaching job in Michigan is nearly impossible unless you have some really good connections somewhere. They keep saying it's gonna turn over soon, but they've been saying that for the past 10 years. I love teaching, but in all honesty, if you want to stay in Michigan, I would go into something else. If you are ok with moving, you can get a job teaching anywhere else. I know 2 people who got jobs in MI, about 15 people who didn't, and 5 people who moved to get jobs. I have been substitute teaching and had a long term job for 3 months in 3rd grade in a great district - but the district isn't hiring! It's very frustrating. If I could go back and do it over, I would have definitely gotten at least a ZA endorsement because if you want to teach K or 1 sometimes even 2 they will want you to have that. Or go into special education or get a certification in Spanish. I would highly recommend looking into either Speech Pathology or School Psychology - both require Master's degrees but it would be worth it - you still get to work in a school with kids but with much better pay and much less pressure and stress.

I can be old and still enjoy summer break since I'm a teacher. And I don't consider myself old at all at 25, but I've been feeling more adult within the past year. Just getting a "real" job, finding a house, etc. Those big life decisions and such.

Aww, distance relationships are no fun. My boy and I had to deal with it for a year, not THAT far a way, Detroit and Lansing, but we only got to see each other on the weekends. Hang in there. Keep busy because that helps time go faster.

Lucky for me in the U.S., they just play Wimbledon all day long on ESPN 2. That Henman match was fun to watch. I'm glad Henman won, I think everyone roots for him in a way. I'm sure he won't get much further, but he gave us an entertaining first round match. And Blake won even though he looks a little shaky to me. Hingis looked a little off yesterday too, but she seems to do that sometimes. I hope she can do well here. And at the moment Venus is down a set and I honestly could care less if she wins or loses.

I'm looking, and posting. I've spent the day looking for houses. I have a headache.

I'm excited but my favorite James Blake is slated to see Federer in the quarterfinals. It always seems like he ends up in Federer's part of the draw. Grrrr.

Ok, I am posting in this thread just to make sure I'm not cleaned out for not posting a lot.

^^^ You are both lovely. I'm not sure I completely see the sisters, but I think you have similar smiles.

As long as words have the combination of "ar" there will be an infinite amount of pirate jokes. What did the pirate major in at college? Marrrrrrrrrrrrrrketing

My brother and sister in law went to the game too. They sat right in front of the bullpen so got to see him warming up about 15 feet away. Kenny said he was more nervous pitching there than in the Major Leagues. Apparently the atmosphere was just crazy, it was a sold out game and people were excited. As for pitching they said he did OK.

TOO cute. Damn I want a puppy of my own.
