A snow day in October? Damn I wish I was still in elementary, middle or high school!!!

That paragraph was totally sweet. I love Todd Jones because he looks like he's supposed to be somebody's uncle sitting on a front porch with his shirt off drinking a beer and rubbing his belly. PS - The boyfriend wanted to be Jim Leyland for Halloween but decided he was too fat. We decided that he was the perfect size to dress as Todd Jones though, and that I was the perfect size to be Leyland. Halloween is gonna be sweet.

Ha, I made that comment half joking! I didn't realize I'd create a whole new poll and debate! Really I don't care. As a defenseman, I think it's important to make hits, even if you might get the occassional penalty. I'm there to kick some ass if I need to!

I know. Part of me is fearful when Todd Jones loads the bases and the other part of me says "that's how he gets it done!" At least he keeps it exciting??

Speaking of hair, I'm contimplating becoming a brunette. I don't know if it would be too dark on me though since I'm a dirty blonde. I may not have the balls to do it anyways.

Will there or will there not be onion rings the size of my own head?

They have won all three games I have been to. So if anyone wants to give me their tickets for the games this weekend to ensure another win, I'd be willing to help out.

^ Starting pitchers are in a rotation. The only pitchers that would play two games in a row would be the closers. And all I have to say about tonight's game is: Bingo Bango BONDO!!!!!!!

That sucks.

I had heard he'd be on track to return for the playoffs too. They showed him doing some batting practice even during one of the last games. He was my tiger before he got injured and Magglio has been acting as my pinch Tiger while he's out. Someone also mentioned Todd Jones love, so here's a little story for anyone who cares: Among my friends for some reason we began yelling Todd Jones at the top of our lungs at random times. So my boyfriend went to a bachelor party that included a Tigers game, and they were sitting high above the dugout. My wasted boyfriend was yelling out Todd Jones for most of the game. Todd Jones came out at one point to do some stretches and my boyfriend leaned over and yelled Todd Jones continually for a few minutes. At the end of his stretches he looks up at my boyfriend and gives him the rock'n'roll sign, and then walked off.

Boo to UofM. Hopefully ND plays that crappy this Saturday too though.

Woo hoo, my picks won! Well, boo too, because I would have prefered a number of men to Federer. James really could have beaten him I think. Roddick had a chance but then Federer really turned it up a notch towards the end. Neither of them played THAT great though. As far as the Sharapova grunts, I know that when I was learning tennis grunting was slightly encouraged. Basically, some people have a tendency to hold their breath when they hit the ball, which can cause them to tense up. People should exhale when they hit the tennis ball, and sometimes just the act of focusing on exhaling (grunting) can ease your mind and let your shots flow freely. If I'm having trouble with my serve, if I think about how I'm technically doing it wrong, it will probably get worse. If I focus on something like my breath though, it will let me hit through my shots more. And I still think the original queen of grunting has to be Seles.

Alright kids, don't expect me. I'll have to make it to the next one. I can't afford it right now and I'd like to get back to GR at a decent time, which means I'd only be able to stay for an hour or so anyways. I'm a pooper. Have fun though everyone!!

I know. I was trying to explain this to my boyfriend who doesn't watch tennis. He said "Well, so maybe Federer will have an off day." I said, "No, no, no, you don't understand. That doesn't happen. What has to happen is Blake has to play out of his freaking mind."

I'm looking forward to the Federer/Blake match tonight. YOU MY BOY BLAKE!!! I mean come on, it's the US Open, it would only be fitting if it were Roddick and Blake in the finals. Right? Right?

I'm still hopeful that I can make it. My only problem is that I'm seriously dead broke. And considering I'd have to drive to Detroit from East Lansing and then all the way back to Grand Rapids that evening. It might come down to how I'm feeling Sunday morning. But at the moment, I'm pretty sure I'll be there.

I know I'm not the only one out there that cried watching Andre lose and give his speech!!! You will be missed Andre. Thank you for 21 amazing years. You did more for the entertainment value and popularity of tennis than anyone over those years. A real legend.

I couldn't agree more. I've pretty much moved every year for the past 8. UGH. In unrelated news, it is now 4:22 and I have just realized that I have had my shirt on backwards the entire day.

Unpacking sucks.

I am SO glad Andre pulled it out last night. I want him to win it all, obviously he is a huge sentimental favorite. My picks: Federer and Sharapova.

2nd to last day at my job. Weird.

I'm working the graveyard shift and struggling to stay awake. Only 4 and half more hours to go . . .
