I'm slipping. I was actually under .500 last week, which probably means I should go through and make all my normal picks, and then reverse them. Hey Edi - on the tummy toning - You cannot spot reduce, unfortunately. You can, however as Jacqui suggested do those exercises to help strengthen your abs muscles, but if you still have a layer of fat on top all the toning exercises in the world won't get you anywhere - you won't lose noticable inches or pounds. The only way you can remove that fat is by cardio and diet. I would up whatever cardio you are currently doing and really watch your diet. Some people even suggest that your stomach is entirely diet - so watch your fat/calorie intake and hit the treadmill and you should see some progress!

That's a great time! If you are going to do a 10K or half-marathon, you should definitely look at some training schedules. Your particular race may have one or you could google search for one. If you are doing a half-marathon in February you should begin training immediately - most marathon/half-marathon training begin 4 or 5 months before the race.
-
Congrats again Edi - you're doing awesome! I've definitely gained - not sure how much, I'm afraid to weigh myself - maybe 10 pounds since May? But, my training started yesterday for my 25 K (15.1 miles) so hopefully if I stick to that schedule and maybe watch what I eat a little more I'll go back down or at least maintain. Weight loss is not my ultimate goal though - I just want to work on my time for the race!

Awwww. But yes, there is something cuter than baby feet. Baby cheeks.

Yay - congrats!! That's awesome - especially because you were struggling which makes it even harder to want to stick with it when you feel like you aren't getting results. Oh, I officially suck at eating right. But, I'm running a 25K (couple miles more than a 1/2 marathon) in May and training starts the first week of December. I'm just going to train for that and if I lose a few pounds in the process - super. If not, oh well.

As part of my husband's birthday present - I'm bringing him to Four Winds casino and giving him money to gamble - we're going to stop at breweries on the way down and the way back up the next day. I'm planning on The Livery in Benton Harlem, Old Hat Brewery outside of K-zoo, and the Olde Penninsula in K-zoo. If any of you have any suggestions for any brews from these places I'd love to hear them.

When I lived in London snakebites were popular - Strongbow with a shot of currant. Delicious.

You have done great. I for one think it's an important step to get rid of your old clothes. Then you have no excuse to ever be able to go back up to that size. And you deserve it after all of your hard work. Make it a good thing - especially if you donate your clothes. There's someone out there that can use them and you will never wear them again. Celebrate your success!!
-
Congrats!! That's awesome - buying new clothes and getting rid of the oversized stuff is one of the funnest things about losing weight. Even for guys I guess.

Ha ha, noooo. I LOVE Strongbow. I stick to beer most of the time, but when I want a sweet treat, I turn to Strongbow.

We decorated our cubes for the MSU vs. UofM game the other week. I got 2nd place. And yes, that's a lifesize poster of Shawn Respert. I had a football and mini-Sparty but they got left out of the pic.

Nah, I actually love math - I love numbers and finding patterns. And yes, I'm a dork. The person below me has sneezed today.

Thanks guys! I'm thinking about doing the half marathon next year; we'll see. Those of you that want to run one CAN and should! The hardest part is keeping up with the training. But as long as you follow the traning, you'll be fine in the actual race.
