Here's a few pics from the Detroit Marathon's picture site. NOTE: I ran the RELAY marathon. Just 6 miles, not 26, I am not nearly that awesome.

Ayup. The person below me consumed an alcoholic beverage yesterday.

I enjoy orchards. The person below me has been sick in the past month.

Yes. It tasted like lettuce. The person below me plays on a fantasy sport league of some sort.

Damn, somehow I overlooked this thread last week. I remember looking for it too. Oh well, good luck to those who remain.

Wait does that mean the wedding is THIS weekend?

You see, I am an American. And being such, I have no concept of geography. No seriously for some reason in my brain I am picturing Australia and Japan closer together than that. Obviously I'm an idiot.

Yup, of course. Anyone who goes through the training can do it. They most likely have a half-marathon training schedule that you can follow or you could do a google search for one. Good Luck in your training - it's really not that hard. It just takes dedication to stick to the schedule. Never skip your long run either - most training includes one long run a week that increases in miles throughout training, it'll start at 3 and go up to 12 or 13 most likely for a half marathon. I'm running in the Detroit relay marathon this weekend. My leg is just about a 10K. I don't think I'll beat my last 10K time in May - I followed the training to a T and ran it in 50:12. I haven't been training as hard for this race so I'm just hoping for under 55 minutes.

I couldn't agree more. The sad thing is, I think that's a problem for a number of young people these days - more interested in fame and celebrity than the more important things in life.
-
If you were only considering him as a hockey player, yes I agree. If he is trying to a celebrity then he shouldn't shut up, and that seems to be his intention. Which one of these he wants more - player or celebrity - is up for debate. When you have a guy like Avery who will never go down in the history books for his hockey talent, maybe he feels the only way to get his name out there is to be a loudmouth *******.

San Jose over LA on Saturday.

I'm glad you're off it, you don't need it. I know it's frustrating not seeing the weight come off. But as long as you are working out and eating right - that's what is most important for your health. The weight WILL come off eventually if you keep up the healthy eating and exercise.

Very cute Jacqui and puckloo!!

I've been at work for an hour and ten minutes. I had one thing to do, and I finished it in about 3 minutes. More stuff better come my way, or this is looking like a very long day.

We were excited yesterday when we found canned Keweenaw beer at a specialty shop. That's the brewery up at MTU in Houghton - cool place and delicious beer. I haven't seen it stocked at many places under the bridge, so it was exciting to see it near us. I love the Pick-Axe Blonde. Super tasty.
