http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=197640&hubname= Darren Dreger( if it was Eklund i wouldnt care) reports the deal is complete and it depends on Tkachuk's willingness to waive his NTC. If he is being traded, the Wings better turn up the heat for Guerin. Supposedly a "variety of picks, including a first rounder, and a player off ATL roster.

I rarely get to se the wings here in New Brunswick.... But, I did see the last 2 games against EDM and NAS. THe Wings seemed to have more fire than normal. Chelios was on the snarl, Maltby was in there. Even little hudler was mixin things up. (sorry about double post) Do the wings seem to have more fire the last couple games?

Does anyone know why Kronner is wearing the full cage? Is it to protect an injury... or does he yearn for his peewee days lol. I'm sure it was said at some point, but i haven't heard anything.

While everyone is speaking of needing to trade prospects or young guys to acquire anyone, the general concencus seems to be we only have forward prospects. What about someone like a Derek Meech, Jakub Kindle, or Jonathan Ericsson. A package of Williams, Lilja, a young Dman, and a pick, doesnt seem to bad. Don't forget, Kronwall and Lebda are still very young, so its not a worry to trade away one young D man. A team like Philly may need someone like that, considering their D is slow.

I cant find a link to this, however i did see it on Hockeycentral on sportsnet. Anyway, they said Jason Blake was available, he is an UFA at the end of the season. While everyone is talking about Forsberg and Bert ( Both of whom have injury problems), Jason Blake could be the ideal rental player. 27 goals, lots of energy, strong forecheck, and a winger. The price would be more than Bert however, I think he could be worth it. Would you rather have Forsberg, Bert, or Blake.

I just saw this on Tsn.ca http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=195617&hubname= Do we still go after Bertuzzi, even if he doesn't play before the deadline. he has 7 points in 7 games, but it can be a different player when he has a bad back. I' ve also heard rumours of Jason Blake being available. I would rather rent him than Bert. Blake has a strong forecheck, lots of energy, great hands and a scoring touch(27 goals). What does everyone think?

I was just on Tsn.ca broadband and Darren Dreger was saying how Olli Jokinen wanted out of Florida. Jokinen wouldn't ask for a trade, but would welcome one if it came his way. I know we can all sit and speculate about who's going where, but I would love to see this guy in Detroit. A natural goal scorer and center, who can play the wing, good size. This guy could be dynamite with Datsyuk or Z and he could also be a solid addition to our #2 powerplay. What does everyone think?

He does have a few years left on his contract...which is what intrigues me... I don't like this rent-a- player thing for a team like Detroit. Since the Panthers are obviously going to be big sellers (wth Jokinen, Bertuzzi, Roberts, and possibly Horton) it wouldn't surprise me to see them go after a young skilled player like Hudler, a couple picks, and hopefully Lilja or Lang. Losing a first round pick doesn't bother me either, since The Wings are so good at finding hidden gems. I don't think we've had a star player come in the first round since Stevie.
