Well there's absolutely no question that Abdelkader will be in Grand Rapids (where he belongs right now). Abs needs the 22 mins a night in GR way more than he needs 8 mins in Detroit at this point. Right now I feel like he's lost his scoring touch and that's due, in part because he's spent all this time as a grinder. He's playing that role very, very well-- he's hitting like crazy and skating like an NHLer. But I think he needs more time in GR as one of the 'go to guys' who's expected to score.

Well I suggest that anyone who posts a "double up" on a Penguins game loses 4 pts of the Pens lose. Similarly, if they lose on a "doubled up" Wings game they still win 1 pt because they're a Wings fan and thus are natural winners anyway. Also, it should be illegal to pick against the Wings or for the Blackhawks.

He's still a prospect. He was drafted and developed by the Wings, so if he isn't playing in Detroit he's playing in Grand Rapids.

Man I hope Kronwall's going to be ready soon. Last we heard he thought he might be ready to go for the Sharks game on Saturday, but I guess that was an overly optimistic goal.

Actually I hadn't though about it before but those parallels are right on the mark.

Everything was in control after those two goals in the first... then we got that goal from Filppula and I felt pretty good about that game. I can take losing 2-1, right? But 4-1? FML. Bah. A loss is a loss, but I'd rather see the GAA as low as possible. Can't wait to have Zetterberg back. This team is painfully mediocre without him.
