I still maintain that the increase in quality linemates compensates for this. The difference in linematching makes a difference too.

This is all we need to know about those hipsters.
-
They try to but most coaches try to play their best players against the opposition's worst players. In the end I think the difference between the competition would be offset by Hudler playing with linemates more offensively gifted than end of the road Draper and Maltby.

Vegetarians are annoying as hell yeah. Unless they're veggies for religious, dietary or gun-point reasons. The rest of them wear leather and pretend they're cool because they eat beansprouts. f***kkkk that man. I'm a strict carnivore.

Huh? The best defensive forwards and best defensemen are facing him on the power play. How is it a world of difference to face those guys 5-on-5. Also we're throwing the concept of line-matching out the window here. 95% of the teams don't match their #1 line up against the other team's #1 line.

Don't get too upset Eva, you absolutely destroyed his argument (and "argument" is being generous).

I hope so too!

Yeah, during games 6 and 7 of the finals Ozzy was our best player. The same is arguable for games 1 and 2. Anyone who thinks Ozzy played anything other than 'out of his mind' in the post season probably needs to lay off the cough syrup. -

Well considering the mask that our best homegrown goalie in recent times wears.. maybe we should choose the goalie with the lamest mask? Still, it'd be nice to finally admire some airbrushed mask variations again. If it were up to me to paint the masks I'd be exploring the Cthulhu aspects of having an octopus mascot. -
Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to do that and I'll definitely PM you if we bag a dear! Worst case I'll have to buy some meat from a local hunter (although they don't exactly stand around campus selling meat, so I'll have to rely on my hunting friend to track the meat down for me).

I'd love to fire a 30 odd 6 I've got a buddy who hunts and he's going to take me out for deer season this year, so I'll get to shoot a real rifle for my first time. Should be fun. I'd love to bag some venison.

Hahaha. Awesome. I just watched that video 3 times. Very funny stuff. That poor girl. Embarassed on that one day, and now for the rest of her life thanks to youtube. I'd gladly console her myself.

Part of me is ok with being too young to remember the years when the Wings needed a chicken mascot.

No way man. Triple OT game 7 playoff winning goal on a top corner slapshot from outside the blueline? Dude- that was amazing. There's something to be said for sexy regular season goals, but score a great goal in that situation? Clutch play is a huge part of being a truly great player, and that goal is as clutch as it gets.

People might complain about Ozzy sometimes, but he'll always be hockey royalty in the city of Detroit. He's done so much for the franchise... 3 cups, 2 as starter, that's a big deal for a goalie and a bigger deal for a goalie playing on the team that drafted him. He's still the best Wings goalie drafted since the Dead Wings era. -

Not for me, I'm still most excited about Larsson. He's 23 and still rockin' it out. Howard- he's a lot better than most people on here give him credit for. Give him 20-30 games this year and I think people will change their tune. -
The desert eagle is a masterpiece, I'll admit that! What a sexy sidearm. I'd definitely sprain my wrist trying to use one, but they're cool to look at (I've never shot a gun bigger than a .22, haha)

Again, my reference to roaming gangs of angry toddlers should've tipped you off

Well first, my reference to roaming gangs of toddlers in NY probably should've belayed my joking nature. And second, I think we can both agree that American sidearms are superior to their Russian counterparts. Although the AK-47 is a masterpiece of engineering. Simple, effective, fixable by anyone of any level of mechanical skill, a beautiful weapon in it's durability and simplicity (purely from the perspective of an Engineer, I'm no soldier!).

Woh. I'm with you in all of your posts so far in this thread, but to presume that the watered down garbage beer they sell in the US isn't inferior to the nectar of the gods sold in Canada? Wow. Weak. And who's nicer? Is that even an argument? Last guy who asked for directions in NY got gang raped by a group of angry toddlers.

I happen to know for a fact that Messier never played with Orr or Lemieux. I'm not sure how you managed to make that mistake.
