NHL asks IIHF, KHL to negate Hudler's KHL Contract
Drake_Marcus replied to Frozen-Man's topic in General
To be honest I think this is the standard response to this type of situation. The NHL wants to make it clear that they will not overlook the KHL's continued attempts to pouch NHL talent that is already signed. Put it this way- if they didn't do this they'd be implicitly approving the behaviour of the KHL in this situation. -
Agreed. I was happy to see Williams leave town. After his concussion from that huge hit he was too meek and hesitant out there.
-
Yeah, 30-40 pts for 1 mill is pretty bargain basement. Good signing then. Being that it's the Rangers I was sure they signed him for 5 years a 3 million per.
-
Nooooooooooo! I want Betts or Moen HERE.
-
Well signing washed up underperforming players is ther MO, so makes sense.
-
Also note that he was one of the top scorers in the AHL through the first few weeks but began to lose enthusiasm as it became clear he wouldn't be called up. Finally, I'd like to end my arguments by pointing out his sweet spin-o-rama goal against Washington. Thank you.
-
I said nearly! I'll be happy if he can put up 0.4ppg in his rookie year. 0.5 and I'll s*** a brick with joy!
-
Haha. Gionta would be great in that role (5'7"!)
-
Also, Ozzy's scored a goal before, so don't shortchange the contribution from our goalies.
-
Leino was nearly a ppg player in the AHL, and a 2 ppg player after the first playoff series in the AHL. But yeah, he was mostly an assist guy. He's still excellent in a scoring role, he just needs to be cast in the role.
-
Yeah, I think so. He was never named in any media reports but I heard more than one person online refer to him specifically as being overboard at the party and likely the perpetrator.
-
I'd be disappointed if you didn't! No one is so devoted to Ozzy (don't tell Osgod I said that).
-
No! What radio show? I wanna try and google that interview up. Sounds hilarious.
-
I just googled it and you're right-- he looks like a native Canadian.
-
And just to add to that last point, I hope he hires this guy:

Even with the pee assist device? Sweet. Please PM me a picture in 9 years... I'm still chuckling about this image in my head. The pee assist device just does it for me. I'm not 100% on how I'd design such a device but it'd involve a series of cables with a couple of small pulleys to alter directions and provide mechanical assistance. For extra invasiveness it'd be operated by the mouth.

Derrrrr Ken Holland said on Mlive that he will move a defenseman after training camp. I know, I know you're thinking: "LOLZ XD You cant use wat da GM sed he will do. Lollerskates" And again, we ******* know what cap relief is, no need to bold a point we already know. I used your f***in' numbers in my calculation to arrive at 2.5-3 million. I even showed you the simple addition needed to do them. Injuries on defense? Well no f***- I left 7 d-men. I'm well aware Kindl isn't ready, maybe that's why Holland just signed a depth d-man to leave in GR? Nah, we can't base our speculation on what the f***in' GM says!
-
So the mental image of him in a neckbrace on crutches and wearing a special rig to allow himself to pee unassisted is completely unnecessary? Then why won't it go away!?!
-
An ice cream cone and the CEO position at his choice of either Chrysler or GM?
-
Hahaha I can't believe you've got a catalog of hilarious drunken incidents involving Belfour.
-
And I think that's what makes him a decent asset in terms of trade value. Lots of teams would like a 625k veteran d-man with blazing speed and a recent cup championship under his belt to play in a bottom pairing. Guys like him are worth a lot more in the cap world than they were in the old NHL. Sure he's not going to play in your top pairing but he's insanely cheap and has the kind of playoff experience teams covet.

Man, did Brasheer really screw him up that bad? Crappy.

Word.
