I know- one of them looked like he was 39 years old! And the other looked like he was on the power play. Does anyone else find that end to the game laughable? I had no idea you could pull someone down who didn't have the puck (or was even involved in the play). So the Pens commit blatent interference in their own zone, leaving one guy on his ass and out of the play, then proceed to attack 5 on 3 in the Washington zone. ******* amazing.

The Pens still suffer from a horrible lack of depth. If shutting down Malkin and Crosby resulted in no scoring last year... just imagine this year. Plus their defense has somehow gotten weaker. The Pens just aren't a better team than they were last year- not by any stretch of the imagination. On the other hand, the Canes are as clutch as a team full of Franzens.

I'd much rather play the Pens than the Canes right now. Ignore the regular season man- the Canes are playing amazingly right now. In both series they played the Pens showed some serious weakness and I really don't think they'd pose too big of an obstacle to an elite team. On the other hand... Malkin could wake up, and then it's anyone's guess how dangerous they'd be.

I dunno- Cherry will be conflicted. On one hand a Russian committed a questionable hit. But on the other hand a Russian was injured by a big hit. It'd be a lot easier for him to hate Ovi for that hit if it was against a Canadian player. And on an unrelated note (since sadly, this thread isn't really about the play, it's about the player)- I have a hard time believing he intended to hit the knee there. It doesn't look like it to me. It was a dumb play, yeah, but I don't see intent to injure.

Most of us know that Babs already told reporters that Abdelkader would be replacing Kopecky, we're just saying we'd pick Leino instead because of Abs tendency to take bad penalties. Given how close the series is and how unbelievably rotten out PK is it's probably not a great idea to take dumb penalties.

It might be possible to add Meech in instead of Chelios depending on how Cheli is feeling in practice after the sudden switch from rest to NHL playoffs. But a line of Lebda-Meech would just get railroaded by the Ducks. So... the lines: Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Holmstrom (switching with Cleary depending on the situation) Franzen - Filppula - Hossa Cleary - Hudler - Samuelsson Maltby - Helm - Leino Lidstrom - Ericsson Kronwall - Stuart Lebda - Chelios Edit: Jersey Wing makes a great point- Abs would probably be too much of a run around guy...

Piss. At least we'll get to see Leino or Abdelkader play Sunday...

That last part is just a lie. Lids is most definitely the best breakout passer on this team.
