I think I missed two or three steps between those two lines of logic (and I use the term logic liberally in the case of your second line ). Hopefully Forsberg gets better. He's too full of talent and drive to be lost to the hockey world like this. I may hate the Avs of '96-'02 mint, but all he did was play clutch hockey. Sorry guys- but I'm sure Aves fans hate Wings players too. I mean it's not like he's Pronger. At least he isn't a gigantic dirtbag that intentionally injures other players then ******* about the mild suspension he gets for it.

We all love Franzen. No question. But there's no need to suddenly give him magic hands. Hudler's got the best shot on this team. He's not much more then a shot and pair of hands, but he's worth throwing on that second line because he sure as hell doesn't provide much on a checking line

Yeah, in every facet other then actual production, you sure nailed it. However, Hudler still out produces Franzen and Filppula.

Hmmm... I have a hard time trusting that such a high-profile poster wouldn't be imitated on these boards. Please PM myself, or one of the other hardcore posters with supercool hair and tell us a secret. We'll keep this secret even MORE secret and when someone enevitably imitates you we'll call them out and ask them a supersecret question that only you'd (or in this case, your version of Sirdrake's persona) would know. It's no secret that we all love the drake. So trust me that I'd be super secretive.

I'm kinda tired of seeing that team sabotaged by their own management's piss poor decision making, and I'm not even a leafs fan! And hell yeah about the top four issue. Why doesn't the Toronto management take a look at the goals for/against differential. Sure they score in bunches, but they let s***-loads of goals in. Then they crucify whatever goalie is nearby and say he sucks. It's more a case of that goalie being forced to constantly make up for the glaring defensive errors of the guys in front of him.

Yeahhhh- because Ellis is a more likely NHL success then Hudler (who's already an NHL success). Ask me two games from now!

Actually he wasn't the only one. The summer Hudler came over they neglected to have his Visa in order. Hudler's still playing better then Filppula. They've got the same points but Hudler's played in less mins AND won a game in the shoot-out. And when did all the venom toward Ellis shift to praise on these boards? The night he got an assist. Before that all we heard was how he was a waste of a roster spot. And that was an especially loud rallying call from the pro-Downey crew. Great for Ellis that he's in the spotlight, but I'll be pleasently surprised if he manages 20 pts this year.

Here's to hoping Grigs brings his a-game in the fall. I don't expect Detroit to let him slip away, but on the other hand he hasn't made friends in the front office. Maybe next time the front office will actually get the VISA stuff together in time for European players like Grigs to make it to the strength and conditioning camp and we can avoid this crap in the future.
