I'm impressed you let me vent after work and took it positively. That's far classier then I'd be in your shoes. Fix the way you post, but keep the ideas, excitement and attitude and you'll be a winner here.

wings should go after iginla next off season
Drake_Marcus replied to canadienhater's topic in General
Dont' be so miopic here people. Iggy is fantasticly talented and a true heart and sole player. He's hated by opposing fans, but then agian so are more then a couple of great Wings. -
Hahaha, well it's only because Detroit is a loyal sports town and the NFL is the US's top dog in sports. It's like hockey here in Canada. No matter how the Leafs play they will always sell out. Always.

Wanker. Feds was the greatest pure tallent the Wings ever had in the modern era other then Stevie. Feds left due to a managerial misunderstanding when it came down to it. Feds loved Detroit and was the poster boy for their rise to prominance in the 90's. Feds is my hero.

Maybe. My point was that he's not got much in the way of tradability based on his performances there. Whether or not he's worth it at all is what makes the difference between early retirement (not likely, he's not horrible, just not worth $4 mill) and another team picking him up.
-
Oh I agree with you on that one. They've got a pretty cramped cap right now, and to be honest, Iggy's lucky he's a huge fan fav because Kipper's going to get a huge chunk of change and something will have to give.... you're likely right about Tang, but I imagine he'd be traded for a few highly touted prospects or RFA that would come cheap?

what are our chances of keeping our 1st rd pick ?
Drake_Marcus replied to kindlwillbegreat's topic in General
Well after reading that article I think he's at least an interesting enough character to follow in the future. He's not your typical Canadian kid from B.C. -
Hahaha, I hope so for Chicago. I'd trade Aucoin for a draft pick. He's played horribly for Chicago and the fans wouldn't care if he fell down a well at this point.

Holy s***, I think I just got a tumor from reading that garbled "English". For the love of god, don't submit posts from your cell phone while drunk and under the influence of mental retardation. *sigh* Interesting idea, of completely insane, it was just as the thread title billed it. *that's assuming I understood your "writing".

Huzza, spam bots defeated!* *for now {cue dramatic music)

So he's smart AND a good player? Sign me up! Quoted for truth.

WOOOO! GO LIDS AND DATS! I just got home from the gym. {faaackkk the buses in Calgary are slow Good thing Rabia sent me an awesome Wings logo to hang off my backpack- I can see the Flames fans cringe then look at their feet }
-
Just because someone's under 6 feet doesn't make them a *****. Koz never acted like a ***** here, and incase you forgot we have some "soft players" like Dats who'er absolutely vital to this club.

Cleary's career didn't take off because he was unmotivated. He didn't become the king of hard work until he realised he was washed up, came to the Wings and turned his game around. Now he's played an amazing season followed by an MVP playoff performance. I'd hardly say Yashin's garbage, but he's not worth giving a big $ deal. He needs the modesty that comes from being bought out and thrown away to make him realise the NHL isn't a floater-friendly league. EDIT: Let's make one thing clear though- I'm thinking he'd be worth aquiring at less then 2 million, one year. Anything above that and he's too much of a risk.
-
I disagree. I don't know about you guys but I did not think for a minute we'd end up within 6 wins of the cup when we started this year. This team is too talented and driven not to find a way to win consistently. (knock on a hole-filled composite stick!)
-
After looking at the shot again I have to say it's obviously an attempt to hit Neidermayer- there's no question about it. He definitely rethough the shot and aimed it differently. Is it comparible to Pronger's style of play? Not overall, because he doesn't shoot pucks at people every day like Pronger plays dirty day in and day out. But it's sure as hell a completely unnecessary.
-
I call bulls*** on that. That's as bad as when Iggy was giving our players kidney shots to get his boys fired up. There is absolutely NO REASON for trying to hurt another player. It's bush league. Period.
-
Not really. Hockey is a way of life here in Canada. And we couldn't give two flying ducks what the status of the league is in the US but for the fact that it dictates the overall growth of our beloved sport due to your population being 10 times ours.

Wow, I'm flatered guys and gals. Thank you all very much for thinking of me, it means a lot! And thanks to the CS'ers for their time and support. Good luck Bellarina and Zaxx. -
Here's to a damn good Dman!

Who is your favorite all time player, AND your favorite active player?
Drake_Marcus replied to a topic in General
Scary- that's pretty damn close to mine except I'd switch Shanny for Howe. -
Hell no! I love the regular season. Every game is a new game. In the playoffs the games blend together for me and the inherent worth of each game makes losses too emotionally sapping I love seeing our boys in red play against a variety of opponents in a variety of situations with different heroes each night. Playoff hockey is fun, don't get me wrong, but it lacks that creative flair that we see players like Dats and Z play with during the regular season. The grinding, bone-crunching hockey is awesome, but it's fun to see some players skate circles around the opposing D and embarass the goalies in ways they might not risk in a playoff situation. So, in summary, give me 82 games and the playoffs over a 14 game NFL snoozefest. (My father will never convince me to like football)

So you want the management to take them into class then all the back to the way they are now?
-
HoH- I'm going to hire you to post for me some day when I'm super rich. Or maybe kidnap you and force you to type posts while hand-cuffed to a radiator. It all depends on my financial situation.
