Did you just say that?
-
YEAH! I just screamed my ass off! WOOOO! Our fourth line looks pretty sexy, eh? Fantastic Lebs rush
-
I like the great open views they give you though.
-
Phaneuf seems kinda feisty eh? Maybe Malts and Drapes can talk him into something?
-
Ooooohhhh that's why they call him the dominator.
-
Odd... the fresh ice seems to be messing with our boys...
-
*sniff* I forgot my phone at school Now I can't call Rab and talk wings.

It's 4:05 AM here. And I have an 8:30 class.

Not really. It seems like his own arrogance is blinding him to the fact that he might not even realise that he's not the best coach. BUT the more the team suffers the more his own financial investment is impacted. I just don't get how the 'yottes haven't had some good drafting outcomes for their mediocrity.

Dom always has something to prove. And I mean that in the best way. He's just not a "sit on your laurels" kind of person. I'd say the only times he's happy with his game is when he gets a shut out AND the other team didn't hit the post.
-
Are we thinking of the same person? That sounds like vintage Hasek, not like the man on our team today.
-
MAKE HIM SHARPENING HIS SKATES WITH A MACHETE! Please?!
-
It's kinda tough to be an underdog and wear a winged wheel (unless you're a talented rookie looking for icetime )
-
Well if it's a career steal from them: Phaneuf If it's for the immediate benefit to the team? Iggy I love, love, love Iggy. He's so freaking good, tough and oozes personality. Tangs is great, but we all remember him wearing maroon.

I'd be with him if the world was going to end this August. Otherwise that logic is retarded. Tough guys don't magically speed up their healing. Playing hurt will catch up with you- and Z has 10 years of magic left for us. Trading that for one year is a horrible idea. Horrible.

I agree. It's never a problem of talent with this team (well not since the nineties). It's always psychological. If the boys feel like the train's left the station and they're gonna win it everyone seems to be able to step it up. We've seen it all season. The reason why Z could carry the team through games where 70% of the players phoned it in was his ability to dominate the ice like a superstar in February. He'd kinda step it up and people would go "oh yeah, we're the effing Red Wings" and it'd be a forgone conclusion (most of the time). I honestly think Pav's going to be on fire and if he is then Z will quickly catch the flames (sweeeet double entandre). Those two feed off eachother, and Z's rust can't last long when he's doing his "kids in the school yard" thing with Pav. Edit: missed a word

Awww damn. My response was stolen by the 2nd or 3rd person to reply Know what's crazy? Detroit is an expansion team. The NHL started out in 1917 with 5 Canadian teams. The Detroit Cougars entered in the 1926-27 season during the second expansion phase. I wonder if members of the Bulldogs laughed about the validity of an American team like the Cougars and asked if they'd stay afloat in what was surely a solely Canadian passion.

I imagine he cried. But then again I like to imagine him doing other things like hitting people I don't like, checking Bush when he's out picking up his paper, sharpening his skates with a machette in front of the other team, checking Whinezky through a plateglass window into a large bowl of yogurt... you know the regular stuff.

"Heeeeyyyyy is Lilly wearing my watch?"
-
I know, I was being facetious. Oh, and if the Wings lose the first? Look out for the second, third and fourth games. Nothing gets a second-round scorned team flared up like smug sports-journalists.
-
That's what I said to a room full of leafs fans when it happened tonight. Yeah it sucks, of course it sucks! But where you sit in the end only has less then 2% to do with a single game! No one wants to be relying on the other guy's loss to get them into the playoffs anyway. Huge win for the Leafs yesterday, sure, but in the end they just need to take it in stride like we 29 other teams do a year.
-
Who wasn't a one man team? I'm confused. I made a $5 bet today that'd we'd go deep this season (as in second round minimum ). That's like making a $50,000 bet to you non-college-student folks.

YES PLEASE! Save some love for Huds and Calder please!

Well you have to admit- Marty's ability to fool everyone on the world and allstar stage into thinking he's great is pretty impressive. Add to that the mass retirement of Jersey's defensive core and you have one of the single greatest sporting capers of all time. {That or he's actually a fantastic goalie}
