That game ended in a 3-2 shoot-out loss, but the real pain came in the first period, when Osgood -- 5-foot-10 and, in his own words, a "ripped 180 pounds" -- collided with Todd Bertuzzi, who is 6-3 and around 240. Exactly. Oz has rocked against Nashville this season- standing on his head in every game. Babs would be crazy not to give Oz the thumbs up in this situation. Plus, in the end, Dallas is an easier 2 points then Nashville (damn I love that Turco chokes when he sees the winged wheel) so we might as well give Dom the oppertunity to keep us in it during the oh-so-horrible second game of a back-to-back. *sigh* Why can't the boys play well in back-to-backs? (Nashville homestand not-withstanding)

Ok, so here's my prediction: 4-2 Wings (Bert, Dats, Calder, Huds) (Pronger, Emu)

I expect to see some freaking hungry wings tonight- after losing 4 straight the boys usually come out of the gate foaming at the mouth looking for prey. Let's see if Bert continues his upward performance trend! GO BERT! GO WINGS! And grab some points Dats EDIT: My bad- also get some points Calder- I don't like the idea of him suddenly slumping back to his pre-wings form because he feels like his hot streak was an isolated incident.

Never Forget Mac has the right idea- if we move all there top stars together we do so at the cost of scoring depth. Hasn't that been the issue all along? If the first line doesn't light it up we're in serious trouble, right? Well here's my suggestion: Dats, Holmer, Hank Huds, Bert, Calder Drapes-Malts-Cleary Filp, Lang, Franzen Honestly- Huds has centreing experience and is playing with tons and tons of energy, Bert and Calder are playing great and with tons of energy. Cleary is coming off an injury, but could heat up with Malts and Drapes- who happen to turn up some timely goals when things are desperate! Filp is playing well, but not as well as Huds, so maybe he could be the finesse player on the 4th line? I don't CARE how much Lang and Sammy are making- they aren't playing well and ego is far less important then winning. The more Filp and Huds are backseated for those two the more the Wings are being short changed in the end. Sammy isn't really worth keeping around, and Lang is probably gone in the summer, so why waste upper roster spots on them? I know the idea of letting Huds centre the second line instead of Lang isn't likely to happen without Lang being injured, but I think it's utterly stupid to keep a centre with a poor work ethic on your second line when you've got a better option who's in need of a roster spot.

Haha- Montreal would tear that team apart. They're quite good at killing team spirit over there. Just look at, well everyone, on the Canadians right now I do not envy sports teams in Montreal.

I'll agree with you there. Booing Feds, no roudyness, cooperate seats making it seem vactent. Not Hockeytown atmosphere! I'm sure it'll be NUTS when the Ducks come!
