Hahaha, no that's another Canadian poster! And here's the sick part- I lived in Windsor with Dad when I was 16 for like 4 months one summer... so I have zero excuse for not knowing more about D-town! I do love Detroit though! If I had to pick one city in the US to live in I'd probably be Detroit. Unless it was a work thing, then I'd be lured to MIT or Cal-tech

Oh I definitely agree with you there. I really think Y was an able successor to Howe in Hockeytown. Howe was a masterful all-around player and Hockeytown likes their heroes to play great hockey on both ends of the ice. For me at least, I experienced Y's later years, so I remember him as the gladiator who played god-like two-way hockey and still made goalies cry.

Smart man Did anyone mention that man battled through CANCER too? I'd say that's some Stevie Y toughness- you gotta admit it takes a huge heart to battle the most hated of all C-words. And a 14 year old girl could lay Wayne out with a check.

Heck I'd settle for 6th, personally. And Mario was DEFINITELY better then Wayne. I used to argue that when I was like 9 and they were both in their semi-prime-declines. I'm pretty sure my arguements were less articulate then the ones above, but I did include some pretty sweet name-calling (I'm guessing).

EDIT: I initially did a little song and dance defending my IQ and accomplishments, but instead I'll go with this: I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany. -

Ahhh Legionnaire? That's why I'd take you over many of our posters any day. You're intelligent and articulate. I mean sure you're a Preds fan, but I can forgive you that one sin. aaaaaHA! So the secret's out- Modano is a Canadian in hiding. We reserve the right to claim all players coming from a state bordering us. Just like you guys can have Rick Nash for keeps. Canadians all agree that basketball is lame anyway. -
Are MCL injuries prone to re-aggrivation like ankle problems can be? It's amazing how crappy the knee is in terms of human joints... it's literally the worst, with the shoulder following as a close second. I always assumed Lou played with lots of trains as a kid. And smashed the locomotives together screaming "BANG SMASH BOOM BRING THA PAIN"

The sad thing is we all know the games he's missed would've brought him up to a level no one in the league could've ignored. The coaches around the league obviously recognised his excellence when they voted him onto the allstar team, but he's actually been rather underrated overall. This back injury really put a damper on what's turned out to be his breakout year.

Hahaha, here's a little prediction- Nashville WILL end up with something hanging from their rafters. Regardless of what happens this season- I just don't see a team with that much talent self-destructing and falling back into their early franchise form.
