Franzen had 18pts in 12 games (1.5 points per game is insane) and this retard gave him a B? What a tool.
-
Knowing the junior team every single NHL player played on is an asset for a GM so we know Pierre is qualified there.
-
Oh definitely. Les Canadiens are an institution in Quebec.
-
I'll take the team without the dumb-as-a-sack-of-hammers fans who chant "Detroit sucks" every night no matter who they're playing.
-
I suspect it was more about criminals wanting an excuse to steal things and break stuff and less about real hockey fans...
-
Can we please get a "four more years" chant?
-
In Canada we like to joke that within Quebec the only thing that comes before God is the Canadiens. Seriously... for French-Canadians the Habs are a religion.

Miller was instrumental in the resurrection of the PK and Eaves was very important too. However, neither performed particularly well in the playoffs (although Eaves was injured), so that throws a wrench in the works. I really doubt we'd get someone better than Miller or Eaves for the money. Both have upside and age on their side. Both are RFA's as well so they're likely to be re-signed. The Wings really like Ritola's upside, well-rounded game, hockey IQ, and hands. Ritola should get real ice time next season and will have to play his way off the 4th line (which certainly isn't impossible).

I'm just happy that I don't hate the team coming out of the East. If the Sharks can just eliminate the s***hawks I'll be happy with this season.
-
I'm just cheering the Canadians, Bruins and Sharks now... so my theme is "anyone but the Blackhawks".
-
Once again we've argued each other into a stalemate. Damn Crosby for coming between us.
-
You aren't hoping for a Montreal-Boston bloodmatch? Those teams hate each other with a passion. I'm pumped about possibly seeing those two teams face each other.
-
You were wrong about the stats you quoted for Crosby at the Olympics. Face it. And I never, ever, ever said he wasn't a great hockey player. EVER. I just won't concede that he's Christ on skates.
-
To be fair we don't give you credit for the times when you show restraint and post on things only tangentially related to Crosby. Kudos.

Also, he was 6th in goals because he played 1 more game than the guys with 4 goals above him: http://www.vancouver2010.com/ns/pdf/IHM400000C85C.pdf Iginla was first in goals. He was 7th in points, again, because games and goals count for standings: http://www.vancouver2010.com/ns/pdf/IHM400000C85B.pdf Iginla and Toews were directly above Crosby in points and Getzlaf was tied with Crosby. Toews was the only Canadian forward to make the tournament all star team (Crosby wasn't even close by the way). Crosby was 10th in face-off percentage: http://www.vancouver2010.com/ns/pdf/IHM400000C85F.pdf The brutal inaccuracy of your statements begs one question: are you delusional or simply high? Iginla and Toews were both superior to Crosby at the Olympics. Stating non-Olympic stats doesn't make that any less true. No one is denying that he's a great player. He's just not the best player in the league. Ovechkin's better than him. It's fantastic that he's average defensively. Come to me when he's nominated for a Selke or is among the top 3 forwards on his team in PK ice time.

He had 1 goal and 0 assists in 5 elimination games. Nice work on pretending that round robin points matter. Saying Crosby carried us on his back is like saying Semin carried the Capitals on his back in the playoffs this year-- afterall, he may have only had 1 playoff point but he had 40 regular season goals! Nice try.
-
Agreed. He's been very, very impressive. In hindsight the Leafs are kicking themselves for that Raycroft trade.
-
Ladies and gentlemen-- I present to you: The Queen of Denial! edit:
-
Bingo. First guy to get the Cup handed to him and the first person who has to shoulder the blame when his team is ousted. It's part of his job description. But hey, he's still really young. He'll have another 10-15 seasons to try again. lolololol Carman has the memory of a goldfish. Apparently he's forgotten how poorly Crosby played for every other second of the Olympics. So he played exactly like he did in Game 7 against us except Malkin wasn't there to save his ass.
-
What? He's going to be eaten alive on the sports call in shows tomorrow.
-
Agreed. People can definitely say Howard was inconsistent in the playoffs this year and that he looked like a rookie at times but you can't question his play when the Wings' backs were against the wall: Elimination Games: Round 1 Game 7--> 6-1 Victory Round 2 Game 4--> 7-1 Victory Round 2 Game 5--> 2-1 Loss Jimmy's GAA in elimination games was a very respectable 1.33 and his sv% was even better in those games. Luongo, on the other hand, was his team's weakest link in each of their eliminations over the last two years.
-
That all depends on whether the NHLPA triggers the inflator or not. If the Wings have 5-8 million in free cap room I have a hard time imagining them sitting on it unless they have some very specific mid-season or deadline moves in mind.
-
Wow he let some softies in tonight. Brutal game by Luongo when they needed him most.
-
I wonder if this guy realizes what happens to guys like him in prison. Oh well-- he's about to find out.
