Dallas is playing Chicago tonight. Normally I am for whomever Chicago is playing (like when little brother UofM is playing) but Dallas is right on our heels. Is it possible for them to both lose?
-
The Wings always follow a poor game with a great effort. Tonight will be no different and with Pekka Rinne out, I expect a big win. 4-1 Wings.
-
Oh my mistake, I thought that you said it was EXACTLY like you predicted. I think that a pee-wee hockey team could beat the Islanders though. A little over-dramatic there huh?

here's the latest CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane will miss up to three weeks with a lower body injury, the team announced Tuesday. "We're hoping [three weeks is] the maximum," said Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville, who wouldn't specify if it's Kane's ankle. "We'll leave it as a lower body. You can speculate where it is. That's the extent of it. He's progressing right now."

That just pisses me off. I mean why the hell can't the NHL get this s*** right? The replay clearly showed that the puck was in and the goalie never froze it. But OH NO, the ref blew the whistle because he couldn't see the puck. Who the hell cares about the whistle? Ref couldn't see it, replay shows it was a goal so the result is - no goal! In football, this is similar to a catch or an incomplete. They review it and if the replay clearly shows that the ref missed the call it gets reversed. Why the frick can't they do this in hockey? So you predicted that the Wings would dominate the first period then fall apart? No, I didn't think so. yeah, that deflection off of his skate was awesome. Do you think he pratices that? One was a deflection off of a skate, one was a redirection in front and as you said one was a break away. But I agree that the other 2 he should have stopped. He didn't look sharp but I'll say the same thing that I said abouth the LA game. You don't win many games when you score only 2 goals. Howard didn't get any support from the rest of the team.

Lids is one of the top 3-4 D man to ever play the game. The "next Lids" may not come around during our lifetimes. That's a bit of an exaggeration on your part....
-
OR it could be another Chicago game. Think positive. Oh, wait, it's Mindfly...
-
Of course. Here comes all the negative predictions. Mindfly?
-
That would be awesome to have but $600. No.

Osgood will start on Saturday... JMac sent down to GR

So he can say "I told you so". If we win when he predicted a loss, you won't hear from him. Well since Mindfly ALWAYS predicts a loss or at least is always negative, we would be 0-22 if he was right. -
I knew a guy who knew a guy who had his hand cut off and they sewed it back on. He was a great hockey player and now he has to shoot with the other hand. He really sucks now. It doesn't look good for Mo. The experts say that it will be AT LEAST 2 months but I think that it will be UPTO 6 years before he can play hockey again... just sayin....
-
I thought the same thing too. "They could if they wanted to" Huh?

The World is not enough

yea but don't be decieved. The Wings have only played 20 games. looking at the points % it really isn't that close in the central. Wings .750 BJ's .667 Blues .614 Hawks .538 Preds .523 Or look at wins/losses Wings 14-6 BJ's 14-7 Blues 12-10 Hawks 13-13 Preds 9-13 The pack has separated a good bit. It's us and the BJ's.

WhoWins™ defines an "annihilation" as a 4-game series sweep in which the swept team never -- not for even one second -- holds a lead. NHL Annihilations (Annihilator (vs. Annihilated)): 2009 Prelim: Detroit Red Wings (vs. Columbus Blue Jackets) This

I don't follow you. We have a 4th line of Helm, Miller and Eaves that is playing well. Abby is going to play on the 3rd line with Cleary and now Huds. You want a guy to replace Helm, Miller or Eaves although they are all playing great? You want grinders on the 3rd line? We need scorers on the third line not more grinders. Wow, we could have had Neil's 1 goal or Ashams 3 goals...
-
My point is that this is exactly why Kenny has no intention of trading Huds even at the trade deadline. Huds sitting on the bench is better than a couple prospects for GR. It's a long season, s*** happens. Fortunately Kenny knows this and fortunately all the people that wanted to run Huds out of town after he only played 15 games have no say in the matter. If we had dumped Huds, Drapes would be playing full time and that would not be pretty so yes, it is a good thing that we still have Huds. Last year, Kenny was dying to bring Abby up for the playoffs. Who is that guy this year? Exactly...nobody.
-
What exactly is that based on? Just your pessimism? The doctors aren't saying but you must have some inside information that you can share with us.
-
Draper will sit most games or they will alternate Miller/Eaves and Draper on the 4th line. Huds doesn't fit in th 4th line roll and Abby is to good to relegate to the 4th line. My bet is that we see Abby/Huds/Clears on the 3rd line. Helm and Miller/Eaves/Draper on the 4th.

Terrible call. I hate Pronger but he only stuck his hand out for 1 second and it had no impact on the goal and didn't distract Kipper.
-
Yea, and calling people "retarded" and pointing out typos gives you alot of credibility.
-
I guess that means Hudler, Miller and Eaves are all in. Good thing we didn't dump Huds like some people on here wanted to do yesterday....
-
I hope that works out for you. I have never heard anybody use the word "beautiful" to describe Detroit except when talking about the past.
-
Yeah, I saw the pick. It was pretty blatant and ended up costing Ottawa/giving Pittsburgh the game. Why if the hell can't this be reviewed as the pick resulted in a goal? I know, it's "not reviewabled". That pisses me off. Should't the point be to get the call right? That was as bad as the goal that they gave Pittbsurgh a couple of days ago when the puck clearly went in after the whistle. And more importantly, clearly after the puck was frozen. This league just plain sucks. No wonder they can't grow the sport.

Boy that's a surprise, Mindfly is predicting a loss. Fortunately he is wrong. The vast majority of the time in sports, a team follows up a poor performance with a strong one. Wings are going to roll tonight. They all played poorly last game and they know this is an important game so I expect a win. 4-1 Wings
