Oh for f*** sake. Give the guy credit. You are saying that he is a rookie of the year finalist because of the team in front of him? WOW. Just Wow
-
We need 3rd and 4th liners who can actually put the puck in the net. We don't have that now.
-
Are you kidding? You want 20 cent to win the cup? I think that I will throw up if Chicago wins the Cup.
-
Ok. I was wrong. After watching game 1 I realize that the Sharks are not going to beat Chicago 4 times. What is it with the officiating. 5 power plays to zero. For Christ sake, at least make it look like they are calling it fair.
-
People, if the Sharks go all the way to the WCF and lose they are going to be hungry next year. Let them win the Cup this year and they will go out early next year.

Sidney Crosby - The most hated player in the NHL
chrisdetroit replied to stevkrause's topic in General
The face of the NHL has to be CANADIAN. Duh. No Malkin, Datsyuk, Ovechkin, etc. As far as the stats, they were marketing the dick head before he scored anything because of his age and nationality. Well said. He doesn't show any respect for other players. That is why I hate the little prick. I have never heard him credit the other team EVER. I wish somebody would show me a video clip where he credits the opponent. I have never seen it. -
Wait a minute. I just re-read this. Franzen got a B despite scoring a point in every single of the 12 games which broke an all time Wings record. And he finished with 1.5 points/game which is second of all players in the entire playoffs. Better than Crosby, Ovechkin, Richards, Pavalski... OK he got 6 points in 1 game but he got a point in EVERY SINGLE GAME. And he gets a B? WTF

The grades are to low across the board. The anlysis is fairly accurate but some of it is just crap. The final "flicker" was in game 7 against Phoenix? Uh... he must have missed the 7-1 ass kicking against San Jose. This is one of those "I told you so" idiots. It's easy to pick who WON'T win the cup since the odds are at best 4-1 or 5-1 for even the best team. Picking who WILL win the cup is alot harder. Wonder who he picked...Washington, Pittsburgh.... hahhahah
-
Well put. Plus I don't want to see a "hungry" Sharks team next year. As far as the Hawks, they are losing to many players over the summer to worry about them next year.

Who should we Keep? Release? Sign?

You want to trade the #1 scoring D man in the playoffs because of 1 bad play? Everybody makes a bad play once in awhile. That's hockey -
What the frick are you talking about. Ralfi won the award for the best D-man in the olympics. But you are going to critisize him for 1 bad play and ignore all the great plays that he made. Do you watch hockey much?
-
If you have been reading any of the articles, the Wings are NOT going to go on a shopping spree regardless of what Lids does. It just isn't going to happen
-
As we all know, after winning the cup, a team is not as "hungry" the following year. Based on that logic, I want the Sharks to win the cup this year so that they can go out in the first round next year and return the Cup to Hockeytown. If they come close and fail they will be all the more "hungry" next year.

Huh? Never really given a chance? He played in 40 games. He had 1 assist, 0 goals and finished -5. So how many more opportunities to contribute should he have been given? 40 games. He never saw the ice in the playoffs because he was not able to get anything done in those 40 games. ANOTHER clutch goal? He scored ONE goal in the last 3 years during which he played in 98 games! You are not being rational. He could fight PERIOD.

LOL Marian Hossa 10pts/10 games = 1.0 pts/game 29th in the playoffs Mule 18 pts/12 games = 1.5 pts/game 3rd in the playoffs 12 months ago people actually wanted the Wings to keep Hossa over Franzen

I absolutely want to see Pittsburgh lose as soon as possible. I will not be able to stomach any more Syd garbage. Second on my list that I hope to lose are the Hawks with their obnoxious 20 cent brat and their classless fans that chant Detoit sucks. Other than that, I don't care. It would be best for us if San Jose wins because that means next year they won't be as hungry. The Hawks are going to lose all there mid level players next year so for them it's this year or never. Boston, I don't care if they win and Vancouver and Montreal are just about done.

I want a big tough Canadian who can fight. The Hawks will have to dump most of their 3rd and 4th lines because of the cap. You do realize that Ralfi leads ALL d-men in the playoffs in points don't you? Yea let's trade him -
2 goals in 9 playoff games this year. I am really glad that we didn't waste our money.
-
Every goalie has bad playoff years - Luongo, Brodeur, Nabokov, Hasek. Howard is a rookie but has shown flashes of being a great goalie. Patience
-
I agree with the first part. Because of the horrible officiating, I don't know what to expect.
-
hahahahah.... I had to laugh when I saw that Mr. negativty has started this thread.

I thought about counting the number of times that the NBC lakies mentioned Syd but realized that it would be a waste of my time....

No way. Fleury is WAAAAY overated. He has a career .902 playoff save percentage. His best year in the playoffs was 08 when he was .921 and everybody keys on that 1 year 04 .896 06 .898 07 .906 08 .921 09 .912 10 .905 Compare that to Brouer .914, Luongo .918, Nabokov .912, Osgood .905, Halak .919, Theodore .918, Huet .913, Hasak .935, Roy .918 Numbers don't lie. The guy is not an elite playoff goalie, in fact he's not even a good playoff goalie.

Is anybody else pissed that the #1, #2 and #3 teams in the east all lost in the first round and have paved the way for the Pens to return to the finals? I mean for God's sake, how much luck can 1 team have. While we are playing San Jose, they are playing a Montreal team that almost didn't make the playoffs. And then if we get past San Jose we face either Chicago or Vancouver and they get Boston or Philadelphia. This to me is unbelievable. I don't believe that it's a conspiracy but what are the odds of this happening?
-
It was 17 years between their 3 cups. I would rather see them not even make the playoffs. If they were to lose in the finals, the commercials with Sid would play up the fact that they made it to the finals 3 years in a row and gloss over the fact that they lost.
