It's my understanding that there were two conditions. (1) If (a) Bertuzzi plays in at least 2/3 of the Wings playoff games AND they make it to the SC Finals OR (b) Bertuzzi is one of the Wings top 5 playoff scorers AND they make it to the WCF then Florida gets a 1st rounder in 2007. Anything less, they get a 2nd or 3rd rounder at Detroit's option which, of course will be a 3rd rounder. (2) If Bertuzzi re-signs with the Wings in July of 2007 then Florida gets a 2nd rounder in 2008. Results: (1) They didn't do (a) since they didn't advance to the SCF. As far as (b) Bert was the 6th highest scorer with 10 points behind Lidstrom (18), Datsyuk (15), Zetterberg (14), Cleary (12) and Samuelsson (11). So the Wings have the option to give up a 2nd or 3rd. I'd think they'd naturally opt to give up the third. (2) Remains to be seen.

Agree. Game 5 is next and the boys in Red/White will be ready. The defensive gaffs will be addressed by Babcock and his assistants and we'll see a more balanced team iced for Game 5. Have no fear!!!

Yeah, I'll chime in here. The announcer (Doc Emerick) said "Selanne charges hard to the net.........: BULLs***. Selanne was just coasting and cherry picking like he always does. Lucky bounce to his stick and plop, he scores. That guy won't crash the net and sledom goes into the coprners to dig out a puck. He's a coaster. Kind of like Brett Hull was before Scotty taught him to play defensively.

The Wings, when leading 2-1 in a best of 7 series were (before last night) 12-16 in Game 4's. Now they are 12-17. Historically, it played out the way it almost always does with the Wings. Giguere stopped the puck enough to give his team a chance. The Wings sucked defesnively - both DMen's and Fwd's play. DEFENSE wins Championships and when the 'tenders are as even as these two, you can't slip up even a little bit. I said from Game 1 that this series would go 7 games and it will come down to who makes the least mistakes. Ducks made most of the mistakes in Game 3. Wings made most of the mistakes in Game4. GAME 5 LOOMS............

Why don't you crawl back into your hole? The Red Wings have been in the playoffs for how many straight years? Since you're too stupid to answer that, I'll do it for you. Including this year, they've been in 16 straight years. Most Red Wings fans who do not live in MI like myself are natives who moved out of state for job reasons and continue to support the Wings. Grew up 15 miles from Mackinac City - went to college in Ann Arbor (Go Blue) and have been a Wings fan since I was 12 years old (I'm 42 now). I moved to KC in 1990 and the saying goes, you can take the boy outta the state but not the state outta the boy. That's not even worth a response other than to encourage you to seek professional help and step away from the crack pipe. It's for your own good. The Ducks don;t have 4 solid lines, period. Anaheim lacks depth up front. Their first and second lines are strong, but there is a big drop off after that. Your opinion regarding goalies is just that. Seems to me that Nabby and Kipper were the ones who gave up series changing goals due to making bad plays or gaffes. Dom's groin might be held together with tape and bubble gum but he's been fine ever since he got off the 12 inch pads that he tried to use at the Olympics. SEVEN games minimum. Wings squeak it out.

BIGGER/STRONGER/FASTER again? Jesus H. I'm tired of hearing that bulls***. The WIngs torched the Sharks using their SPEED. Sharks couldn't keep up and as for bigger/stronger you must be talking about ANA's goalie tandems' collective asses. Best D in the league? After Pronger, Neidermayer and maybe Beauchimin who's left? Exactly. Detroit's D on the other hand has shut effectively down both the Flamers and Charks top lines. Deeper than Detroit in FWD lines? Bulls***....the WIngs ROLL FOUR consistently and all of them are fully capable of damaging the opposition. Anaheim has been a Two Line Pony this season and Lidstrom and Cheli play a LOT of minutes. Let it play out and we'll see.

Here here! It was nice to see a tem NOT go dirty like CGY did when it was clear the series was turning around to favor the Wings. I applaud the Sharks players for playing it out like honorable hockey players and not a bunch of thugs like Iginla, Langkow and Dion "The Poofter" Phaneuf.
