Dave and Mick, no question. Colorado announcers are in the same league next to the San Blows Eh announcers. HOMER TO THE MAX
-
Conklin played his way onto the bench after that horrid Washington game and the Columbus game after it.
-
Expected at least 1. Now it will be interesting to see if the Lions can rebound from this and continue to march forward or fall off. Atlanta is right there.

You remove the Packers 11-0 from the Bears last games, and it is nearly a GIMME for the bears to make the playoffs. Chiefs, Vikings, Seahawks, and the Denver Tebows. All of those games are more than winnable, they should be GIMMEs for the Bears. that would make at least 11-5, and should-SHOULD-be enough for a playoff spot. Hanie has to turn that s*** around. More 2nd Half Hanie PLZ! Oh, and someone needs to slap Suh in the ass with a wet towel. Inexcusable to build up this reputation and not even be in the league long enough for tenure. Much like how Homer has a reputation for standing in front of the net, that results in our goals getting waved off, or how Isiah Thomas has a reputation for being a dickbag, someone should show this s*** to the kid. Can't just thug because it's Detroit.

Here's something that oughta give Lions fans something to SHOOT FOR. FROM 1997 AT THE PONTIAC SILVERDOME:
-
What's the octane in that locker room water that makes the lions do this?
-
bet it gets pretty cavernous in the AA Center like it did at the united center when teh hawks weren't doing anything.

I was listening to this while getting dressed for work, and Tell me that background voice isn't familiar. Listen to the whole thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGlhmoXQLdM Is that not our very own Mickey Redmond?

anything to get them on solid footing. Team's playing some bonkers hockey with Lehtonen holding the fort nicely. In other news, Blues get a new owner, new coach, and they're playing some bonkers hockey.

The G/F is a Kings fan. Wings 6 (Kronwall, Z, Miller, Flip, Hudler, Homer Kings 1 (Kopitar)

There's a reason we refer to the ownership as the "McCheapskis". Most recent article via google was : http://blogs.nfl.com/2011/08/29/updated-salary-cap-space-numbers-for-all-32-teams/ We have more than enough cap room to sign Forte, and then buy another Julius Peppers if we really wanted to. 19.3, given the team we currently have. I just don't want us to squander a great player at the expense of some $ which would be EASILY made up in Merch sales. I honestly think Forte has the upside of at least Marshall Faulk, if not...His Sweetness.

Even with Best, the Lions weren't generating much. The only good game was the monday night debacle at Ford in which the bears didn't play like the bears and Martz called plays like a kid playing madden. I really hope that the Bears lock up Forte. Because if the Lions even got a sniff at signing him and Forte ended up in blue and silver, the city of Detroit and Ford Field might come unhinged and start bouncing up and down like a washing machine. If the Bears fail to lock up Forte, i'm going to treat it like the Hawks ownership situation from years ago. Things will not improve until the ownership dies. The only exception is if you told me the Delorean showed up on Wacker Dr with 1978 Walter Payton in it ready to play. Then the city of Chicago and Soldier Field would come unhinged and bounce around.

If you stand up and wave, we can probably pick you out of the crowd there

Came up to learn today that Stafford played with a broken finger. Is Shaun Hill really THAT much of a drop-off that Stafford with a broken finger is still better? Plus. 63 Pass attempts. Not counting the sacks. The Lions very, VERY Badly need a running game. Otherwise all the league has to do is run Nickel, 3 deep, or what the Jets have in a 4-7 pass defense, and neither Stafford or Johnson or Burleson or Pettigrew are gonna outwork it
-
Point Proven.

Easy. When you were born after 1985, and have several painful memories of Erik Kramer and the QB Rotato, Wannstedt, Jauron, the Dinkpass offense, several running plays right into the nearest opposing lineman for a loss, and near-to-every offensive series resulting in picks or punts. Oh, and the stupid Buttpackers, and their fanbase which is twice as annoying as any Blackhawks fan. Then the set up for Good Rex/Bad Rex, where he would lead the league in TD and yards, then throw 4 INTs and fumble twice. Get to the Superbowl and not win, couple that with the questionable personnel moves by Jerry Angelo over the last number of years, the up and down of the team, etc, etc. And most recently, the Offensive line jacking around while Cutler runs for his life and can't complete plays, while Martz keeps calling plays like a 14 year old playing Madden. But given today's game, I wonder if the questions begin for Good Matt/Bad Matt. After all: Both got injured in their first 2 years in the league, had to sit out. Both can throw 90 miles away AND both were looked at, at the time, as the saviors of their team, QB-wise.

Only when the refereeing is awful, like the 2010 Wings/Sharks series. The person below me drives a Chevy

I think this is a Hulsizer move more than anything. He says he likes and follows hockey, what more than to go and get a coach who does have a winning resume, even lifting columbus to their first playoff appearance.

BAG OF PEAS, STAT!

SEE? WE NEED TO MANUFACTURE OUR OWN LUCK! After All. This is Detroit. WE SPECIALIZE IN THAT SORT OF THING!
