Lupul got KRONNED! Kronwall will probably go for Charging because his feet left the ice on the hit.
-
I'm thinking that he's like Legace was. Sitting in the shadows, playing good. (although the team didn't play in front of him.) Good luck Joey

No Pisani for Edmonton + Mr Magoo's loss of the glasses = 5-1 Detroit.

Heck, dare I say it, Colorado isn't much of a rivalry anymore, at least since Roy retired. They're still OUT of the playoffs. Being forced Nashville isn't a rivalry. Rivalry is made by bad blood, not by s***ty schedules from a s***tier Commissioner.

Once again, a high-paid player sucks it up. Reference Patrick Roy's patented Glove in air=Puck in Net.

I say we keep Williams. After all, wasn't it last season that you all wanted Dan Cleary's head on a stick?
-
That's ok, you haven't had to live in Chicago with Jay "The only good team had Michael Jordan, and I have a mancrush on him" Mariotti

Funny, I used to own a Chevy Caprice, which got hit by a Toyota Camry, and came away virtually unscathed. (there was a little scratch on the rear bumper) Too bad the same couldn't be said of that Camry. Also funny, Mark Martin's been driving Fords for Jack Roush for over 20 years, and the best he's finished at Daytona was 3rd. Put him in a Chevy this time around and he NEARLY won it!!!

I'm still not concerned. The thing i'm more concerned about is how much inspiration this team's got behind it. Why we don't stick up for our own guys, hit more, go through instead of finesse around like Bettman wants it to be (he's ruining the game as we know it). Our defense can't always rely on standing defense, WE NEED TO BLOCK MORE SHOTS, Throw your grille down in the way of that rubber! Edmonton beat us with that!!!! THE SAME EDMONTON THAT NO ONE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT.

You know what, you panic buttoneers can SHOVE IT. Every Goaltender has a bad game or sometimes a bad stretch, you hammer this rookie like he's a veteran. If I recall, it wasn't that long ago that Hasek gave up 8 goals in a game. Also, does anyone else remember the 1999-2001 Slide of one Chris Osgood? Or how you Panic Buttoneers were hammering Manny Legace so hard when the WHOLE DAMNED TEAM didn't play with much inspiration??? Get over it. It's only 1 Game out of an 82 game season. I am not concerned in the least.

I feel Mr Brendan Shanahan has no more to prove to the city of Detroit and Red Wing Nation. Reference: 1996-2006. 3 cups is MUCH better than other players can boast, and that yes, there was a general changing of the guard, not only in Hockeytown, but from a league standpoint. The Eastern conference is full of high-scoring games this year, and the West is now full of defensive, trapping, low-scoring affairs. Fedorov had the holdout (which I whole-heartedly blame HIM for) and then he wanted to go out west right after 2002.

The Flyers that just won their League-Sagging BIG NUMBER 4 AT HOME!!!!!
-
I have ALL the confidence in the world of Joe Mac. I mean, if it weren't for Chelios scoring an own goal, we might still be shooting it out down in StL. So long as we don't get into a Los Angeles Kings goalie problem (they had to bring up Barry Brust, Yutaka Fukufuji, and sign Sean Burke from an announcing position) we should be fine.
-
Got one for ya Blues, Whalers, Devils, Red Wings, Rangers. another one that's easy Flyers, Rangers, Stars
-
You know, the only player to show up at last night's game was Joey Mac. Without him, it should have been 9-0 STL. Cheli trying to swat it away knocks it into the net. Despite Joey's lack of winning, He hasn't gotten any help. I don't think he needs forwards to help him defensively (reference the long-time shootout up in Edmonton) and even then last night he didn't get much help from the team (29 saves in a loss) and ONLY GAVE UP 1 GOAL WHICH SHOULD BE CREDITED AN OWN GOAL AGAINST CHELIOS. Loosen some of the chains on Joe Mac, and go back to scoring Goals. You'll see wins. If I were Mike Babcock, I'd start him next game.

After watching this game 5 times (and subsequently destroying the DVD of it) All I have to say for my Bears is this. 1. Lack of Heart 2. Lack of Discipline 3. No ferociously aggressive defensive plays. Almost every play you saw missed tackles, no, not because of the rain, because guys were getting close and then they stopped for some odd reason. Also, after that runback by Hester (the only other guy who showed up to play besides Gould and Maynard, in my opinion), the Bears got too hotheaded on that. They looked fairly good on that touchdown drive, capped off by Average Rex throwing a short TD pass to MOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!! The Bears offense didn't change a thing throughout the game, and Indy adapted and exploited that. The Bears Defense was playing deep coverage, no wonder Peyton was only throwing little dinkpasses. His SB Stats don't reflect the after-catch work done by his recievers. In those instants, the Bears D and Colts D swapped places. Where our D missed, theirs capitalized. And our guys put their heads down and sulked. Average Rex, was turned into Bad Rex by the Indy D. The only part of the game WE won was Special Teams. (scored the opening kickoff, perfect on FG, didn't give up a TD) Special Teams does not win a 60 Minute football game. Toward the end (when we still had a chance) we started taking stupid penalties, and took ourselves out. Congratulations, Indianapolis Colts. But, Regardless, Win or Lose, I will always and Forever More be a Chicago Bears Fan!!!! P.S. I was pissed for 2 days after the superbowl. Know why? I was born in 1988. I don't know who the 1985 Bears were. And that's something I can never find out, nor fall back on if we lose. I have only to fall back on Dave Wannstedt, D!ck Jauron, and those non-playoff, sub-.500, lose to the Packers teams...

I predict Wings 5, Yotes 0. Goals-Lang, Zets, Dats (2), Malts.
