Abby hasn't been the same since the 09 cup finals...Remember he scored 2 goals and was wrecking a lot of opposing players? He still hits players. He clears the way for Datsyuk, but if no one is shooting and all we're doing is perimeter passing, what's the use of even having datsyuk out there? I'm getting more of the persuasion that Cleary needs to be gone and not resigned.

Huskins is a shutdown guy who can get physical, we saw that when he played in Anaheim. I'd keep him as a 7th. Quincey plays best when he's got some motivation to get physical. Perhaps Smith gives that to him. Remember the first year Quincey was playing here before he was let go? He was wrecking into people and making these boards excited (how dare he!) If Brendan Smith is giving him the spark to get it in gear and go hit someone and stand up at the blue or even red line, damn skippy then eh? We've gone away from having some grinders to having 3rd and 4th lines made out of other teams' spare parts, Bertuzzi's spot to retire, and kids from GR that were brought up to either hack it or get demoted. Injuries have piled up too, let's not forget that we were out of the playoffs in 2010 near the Olympic break, and the only thing that drug us back into it was Howard blocking everything in sight. If Holland can't find us those kind of players again, or does not want to find us the players to make us successful, then we must trust that Mr. I will take care of the matter...

Pairing our offensive defencemen together is a bad idea except on the power play. As good as Rafalski was at scoring, remember how many times he used to pinch as the other team was chipping the puck past him on a breakout? Kindl is an offensive defenceman, and he should be paired with a shutdown guy who can keep the play ahead of him. Huskins does good with that. Speaking of our defencemen doing things they shouldn't....Kronwall anyone? I haven't seen him motor over someone yet this year. He's trying too hard to be Lidstrom when he never was. Apart from Karlsson in Ottawa, there isn't another lidstrom out there. Put him as the Defensive with Ericsson's offensive side. Lashoff seems to have lots of puck upside. Quincey used to be good when he HIT people. put them as the 3rd pairing out, and get quincey hitting again!
