I was saying that all throughout the game. Anytime I saw Lang, I said "Nooooooooo". Don't get me wrong - I think he is great (but third most giveaways in the season scares me). Especially, when any mistake can be costly.

Yup, you can't sit Flip right now... and Hudler has 2 assists as well (correct me if I'm wrong). I like Sammy, but he is too streaky right now. Bring in Bert, sit Sammy, and this team gets even better. I don't think we have played cocky at all this series - so if we can maintain the "work hard and win" attitude heading to the Saddledome, we have just as good a chance as any to steal one there. If we can split the home and home there, 3-1 coming back to Detroit is a very promising position. Oh and Datsyuk is showing that he has something to prove, which is very important.

Dead on, HockeyCrazy! Cleary just looked really good and comfortable. I also think it is safe to say that Flip will not be riding the pine anytime soon, even with Bert back. Speaking of which, if Bert is cleared and ready to go? Fantastic. I almost forgot what it is like to have him out there. Even if we give him limited minutes the first night, he'll be an extra force each shift. I haven't been this excited in years about the team.

*shrugs* I like it primarily because it is going to promote some fan 'participation', since we've kind of been lacking lately with our spoiled-nessesess. I was at the St. Louis game yesterday and the crowd was really into it and riled up. When the wave hit the stands, people were having a blast with it. And when it REALLY got going, it was pretty neat to see inside the Joe. It seemed like it really kicked the fans into an extra gear. So if this is their intention, with some sort of "everyone wear red", or alternating red/white sections or something and a huge wave going around every game... I would like it a lot. PS - ENOUGH WITH THE TOWELS!

The Joe was absolutely awesome today. The crowd was loud and into it. The fricken wave started up and went STRONG! Haha, it was so much fun. I don't care what happens, but I want Bertuzzi re-signed. Also, I saw him and his family in Greektown after the game!

^underrated reply This just happened the other day to me. My brother (who is a manager) got free tickets for me and my other brother to go see the Pistons. Gas money + parking + any concessions was just way too much, even for free tickets. You're talking anywhere between 30-50 bucks even if the tickets are free. As a recent college grad, I just don't have that extra money right now.

As a first game back, it was pretty impressive. Anyone that expected goals and assists were surely going to be disappointed regardless. He is going to get better each game. The look on his face everytime he was on the bench was great. You could tell he was just itching to get back on the ice after every shift. The fire is definitely still burning. Also, I was definitely worried when he was missing on the bench for a little while. Thank God it was nothing!

Haha, me too! Unfortunately, I didn't take him off IR until today, so I can't use him until Saturday!

This is very exciting. I only worry that he'll be out there for like two shifts, then sit the rest of the game for precautionary reasons. Regardless, it'll be so cool to see Big Bert in the winged wheel. I never thought we would pull the trigger on a trade for him.
