GREEKTOWN! I'm confused about all this Greektown parking validation talk. I've used Greektown for every game this year and it's the easiest possible route (not to mention completely free!). There is no validation required, no cost, and there is a people mover station INSIDE the same building as the casino. http://www.greektowncasino.com/GeneralInfo/ The exit off I-375 literally takes you STRAIGHT to the parking structure. No downtown driving, heavy traffic, or maneuvering side streets. There is always a bunch of open spots towards the top of the structure. Just take one of the 5 or so elevators to the casino level. The walk from the structure, through the walkway, past (or through) the casino is brightly lit with security. People mover is 50 cents a ride and will be filled with hockey fans doing the same exact thing. You have plenty of great restaurant choices in Greektown with excellent food! Oh and exiting the structure is easy with no backed up traffic.

I get what you're saying, but there is also another way to look at it. Couldn't it be possible that Hossa has been in ALL the same situations as Franzen and didn't get hurt? Couldn't someone be a little more prone to injury than someone else? Do you think we all have the same exact chance of getting injured in the same scenarios completely disregarding a persons physical makeup? I mean, if you're going to ask someone else to be objective - take some of your own advice.

Is it possible to buy the Griffins red/white jersey variation? I have found a crest patch online, but not an actual jersey. I am absolutely in love with it.

Yeesh, lighten up people! I thought it was funny. I'm not in my hardcore stats/standing mode yet and when I read that line about the Blues extending their lead, I was thinking woah... what's been going on? Then I read "The Blues (4-1-0)" and started to laugh.

Finally reached somebody. Emailing to that one guy "appears" to have worked. He replied and gave me the PayPal 1-3 day thing and now my status says "Refunded". Now to see if I get my refund.

They have replied to me, but I don't get those long emails. I get short cryptic responses. Finally, I said I want to cancel with a refund and I get this email... So... did anyone here order an XXL? Since I heard these run smaller, I'd rather have an oversized than undersized. Anyway, the reason I ask is that I haven't gotten the Chelios email of doom yet and I've been going back and forth with customer service the last couple days. When mentioning about others saying the order was changing to 24... I got this... Maybe they had a certain number of each size or the larger size uses different letters/numbers? I know it's wishful thinking... but I just thought it was interesting. I've pretty much resigned myself to a Cheli jersey at this point anyway! I just want the saga to end!

This would be worth it if possible (for those of us possibly stuck with Cheli). I would think if it was sewn on - you could remove it and do a new one, but I'm no jersey expert.

Man, how did people get tickets? I was on there right when the links went live - was super quick and found no pairs of tickets in like the first 6 price points. Did you buy singles or the more expensive tickets? (If you don't mind me asking). I ended up just grabbing a pair of tickets against Dallas later in the year.

Ditto! Maybe we could do like other sites and PM each other with it instead of posting it to keep at least some scalpers/resellers from hoarding it. I know, it won't have THAT much power - but still.

I hope I can post this here (saw the Zetterberg topic). I work at a school aged day care and today we had our field trip at the Joe. It was pretty exciting, the place was pretty busy. As we were walking towards the locker rooms, they let us sit on the visitors bench. We walked back out to the concourse area and all of a sudden I see a bunch of young looking guys walking out from the Wings locker room - a few of them playing with a soccer ball. At first I just thought it was some random guys/hockey players... but then Jim Nill was right behind them! Some tall guy was concerned about us going in the locker room (something I guess they don't normally do according to our guide). Jim said, "Don't worry about it, you guys go ahead and I'll take them in". So he led us in and sure enough, all the locker stalls had our prospects names on them. We didn't have much time - but I saw Larsson, Smith, Pyett, Emmerton, J. Samuelsson, and a few other names that escape me. Nill was great with the kids (we had Kindergartners through 6th graders) and he let us see everything back there from their lounge, weight room, medical area, bathroom, etc. We also got to see/meet Al Sobotka. They had just put a fresh sheet of ice down the night before. There was a table of 4 people with laptops doing some sort of readings with the ice right by the zamboni entrance. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know about some of the other non-Stanley happenings going on. It was a great experience getting to meet Jim Nill, that's for sure. --Edit-- Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera (I was mad). One of the older kids had her digital camera - so maybe I can get a few pictures in the coming days.

Funny side story: One of our last stops was to look at the Gordie Howe statue on the main concourse. As our guide was talking about the statue, she asked: "Does everyone know who Gordie Howe is?" Some of the younger kids (K - 1st) say, "Yeah" and turn around and sort of look at me. As she is talking about how great he is, one of my first graders walks up to me and says... "Mr. Gordy, how come you never told us?!" Yes, some of my kids thought I was Gordie Howe. : )

I don't recall seeing it. I didn't look at every locker though because we had 50-some kids and they were trying to make sure everyone got a chance in there.

I wish the tour wasn't moving so fast. I kept trying to just take everything all in. Stopping and reading stuff, keeping one eye on all the different faces hoping I'd catch a glimpse of a legend and the other eye on those pesky kids. I'm not even entirely sure of the names of everywhere/thing we looked at. The Olympia Club, Manhattan Room (I think)... some other small bar/room that had a display case for all the Wings HHOF players with a bunch of autographed pucks. According to our guide, they hold some different meetings there (one had just finished up). We went up to the suites and got to go into the new Legends Club. Again, even more great Wings artifacts. My brother swiped a couple Legend Club napkins lol. The Merchandise room had just an overabundance of jerseys from the floor to the ceiling. I was salivating at the thought of all those goodies. Man, I just wish we had more time there. --Edit-- For the record, it was only 3 dollars a kid and 6 dollars for adults to take the tour. I'm not sure of how it all works (my boss set it up). She said it was the only time available for us when she initially scheduled it (a few months ago).

Every wall on that ice level concourse (not sure of the official name) just screams tradition and history. All the players names, plaques, banners, award stats... Al the octopus... an old Olympia Stadium freeway exit sign, jerseys, photos, and autographed stuff was just everywhere.

We only got to peek inside, but the one 'inside' the locker room is done in a dark wood sort of den-style theme. It looked pretty snazzy. It also looked severely out of place because here you have your standard locker room and all of a sudden there is a door to a home-y looking room.

I have faith in Holland that he'll find a way, if there is one. I'm pretty sure on the Toronto interview with him, he already said they were going to do what they can to secure him longterm. Because of our "team salary distribution system" (aka get your money while helping field a competitive team) that everyone is buying into, he wants to talk with Hank and Mule to see if it is possible basically. Maybe I misheard it though.

I'm not sold on the agent draft thing yet. Like IceMunkee, I put it in a lot of research time to pick my players. In the meantime, I lost out on a few players I really wanted, but got others that I picked for specific reasons. I wouldn't be too pleased to find out that all the time I spent might be wasted with a draft that resets everything. Unless the draft allowed for those of us who picked our players to keep 2 or 3 of them or something and forfeit a draft round (kind of like a keeper league), I don't think I like it. First-come, first-serve can suck if you lose out... but it was the same situation with every other position in this game. I wanted to be a GM of about 5 teams, but by the time I read this - all of the ones I wanted were gone. Also, the advisory panel was already filled up. Just my 2 cents.
