That's the hat I've been looking for! What size hat is that? I know of a place online to buy it, but they only have small-medium, and medium-large... but I don't think either of those would fit me too well. I was wondering if they made it in any other sizes.

Superstar: Vincent Lecavalier Jeff Carter

I made a bazillion edits! So, if you can check my previous post and let me know if it is a-okay! I just noticed your post Wheeled, if you want Selanne, take him - I wasn't trying to swipe him sneakily with my edits!

So, is this for next season? Or are you using some game or simulator? Can I add Fabian Brunnstrom as a possibility (if he ends up coming to the NHL)? Otherwise... Jonathan Toews (what does he count as?) If I can add another superstar, Teemu Selanne Whoops, Mike Green is gone. Shea Weber (RFA) Daymond Langkow (UFA) George Laraque (UFA) Sam Gagner (rookie/entry level) Josh Harding

This is a great night for hockey. I'm torn between SJ and Calgary. I want SJ out, just so that both the highly touted Sharks and Ducks flop big time. I really dislike Calgary though and I don't think I want to play them next round. Washington is an easy pick. I like Ovie and I picked them to advance in my pool. I forgot about the whole LNC thing. I have been so busy the past few months.

This is our must win. We can't let the Preds get the momentum. Keys to success? -Do not give up odd man rushes -Do not sit back with a lead -Hits, hits, and more hits -

What's sad... is that we're all freaking out over here and truth be told, Kenny is probably not even on the phone with anyone right now - and probably hasn't been in a while. Boo. -

Nice, TSN shows a clip of Hossa owning us right before the commercial break. Rub it in, guys, rub it in. Our big acquisition is... Darren McCarty. -

Feds was the only one I thought would be a for sure fall back plan. I'm clueless now. I really think we'll sit on our ass for the rest of the day. The only slight glimmer of hope is that Hossa to Montreal had been almost a "for sure" thing since 9AM - and currently it is still undone. Maybe, just maybe Holland caved? I know... I'm REALLY REALLY reaching here. -

Me too, I'm spending my entire midday break watching the entire Western Conference doing stuff. Boo. -
I noticed CBC is from 6:30 to 10:00, while Vs. is 7 to 9:30. So, if you get both (yay for Michigan) - it might be worth checking out CBC for the extra hour coverage.

It sounds legit, but your best bet would be to find a contact number for NHL.com and verify with them. My best guess would be that your SS would be needed for tax purposes, especially depending on the estimated value of the autographed jersey. --edit-- You could also go here , scroll down to the very bottom and find this "Still can't find what you are looking for? Contact us here."

Specifically, something like a Hank Timra IK one? Do they even make them anymore? If they do, what kinda costs? After a little research, rumor has it that even if I found a way to buy one online, they don't ship to the US (or something along those lines). I figured we have some Swedish friends here who might be able to help me out about this. I wasn't sure if I should post this in here (kinda hockey related) or in the Water Cooler.

Wow, I clicked on this thinking it would just be a rumor. That is fantastic! Now lets see how much Nick loves us...

Did I hear correctly that Homer might be back? If so, I am even more excited!

Holland and Nill Promoted - Violetta Added
SuperCalaFilppulastic! replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
If Violetta is responsible for the "$1 hot dog" nights for certain games... then he's already doing a GREAT job! -
Ditto. I was ready to fire a verbal beatdown. However, this is hilarious.

Not true. Sir Mix-A-Lot - "Baby Got Back" (the I like big butts one) and Juvenile - "Back That Azz Up"

Well, it does make sense. Full fledged deer hunting opened on Nov. 15th (this past Thursday) and I know a lot of guys who go away for the week/weekend. I see what they're trying to do, but I'm not sure how well it would work since the Joe is sort of removed from downtown.

This is a good read: http://www.bluecorncomics.com/wahoo.htm And it became apparent while reading this thread that it was going downhill once people started equating the term "Redskin" and the logo of Chief Wahoo to terms such as Trojans and Vikings. Seriously? People really think the term "Redskin" is equivalent to "Vikings"? Good luck with this one Rob. --EDIT-- As for the Irish and the Celtics logo, that is a reasonable debate - but we can't fall into the trap of assuming that something considered okay for one group, should be okay for the other. Don't try and simplify the argument either. I do not have enough knowledge of those mascots and histories to say anything worthwhile about that.

Great idea, Matt. I just asked a similar question about the Lions game and parking the other day. Anyway, we go the Greektown way. We park in the Greektown Casino parking lot (free when you validate at the casino) and use the People Mover ($1 round trip per person). Coming from the North via I-75 South (Taken from Greektown Casino website) # Take I-75 South towards Detroit # I-75 South will merge onto I-375 South towards Downtown Detroit # Continue on I-375 South towards Downtown Detroit # Take the East Lafayette exit as soon as you exit take an immediate right onto Congress # Turn right onto Brush # Take a left into parking garage 1 just past East Lafayette Information for those coming from different directions can be found HERE. My experience is with parking garage 1, so that is what I'll be referring to. -What's nice about this parking structure is that there is a covered walkway on the 3rd level to the building next door (the one with Fishbone restaurant in it and a beautiful HUGE waterfall sculpture). -If you take this way and exit out the main door, you'll be on Beaubien Street facing the Greektown Casino and the entrance to the People Mover. -If you head into the casino lobby (formerly Trappers Alley for you ol' Detroiters) there will be signs pointing you to the Station (you do not have to actually enter the casino playing field to use the People Mover - so under 21 is a-okay). This is station number 10 (The Joe is station 5). The train comes about every 10 minutes and takes about 5-10 minutes to reach the Joe, so plan accordingly. The Pros: -Free covered, secure parking (with casino validation) -Cheap fare -You'll barely be outside (good for Winter games) -Greektown is well lit with plenty of security and police. -Many restaurant options at all price levels for before and after the game. -Easy access to freeways, fairly quick exit from parking garage. -You'll be at a casino, if you feel like gambling. The Cons: -A little more time consuming than other options (5 minute walk to People Mover, 10 minute ride, 5 minutes to validate parking, etc) - The People Mover gets crowded after the game and takes a little while (but if you stick around the Joe after the initial rush, it's not bad).
