It is news from the summer like people said, but it's not bad to see again. But in a team that's been gutted of attention-grabbing stars, Z is a breath of fresh air. And I agree with HR40.. and it doesn't hurt that you see a little Yzerman in him when Hank skates up the boards sometimes. -

Actually, you can't. My bad! It was Keating going on and on like "Now we're going to show you the IMPORTANCE of PRACTICE" and I'm like, wtf????? And then they start showing clips of Wings players going "Oh YEAH practice is so important lolomfg wtfbbq" But I guess the Allen Iverson clip of mocking NBA reporters about practice questions would've had to be seen the way it was mixed with some of the Wings bits. It made Keating's stupid 'insight' sufferable tho

Between the prices Ilitch has and the rough time for the economy, I sure would. It's not like I expect a regular fan to read beyond the articles that say "LOLOMFG Detroit isn't selling out!" and comprehend why this attendance drop-off is so, but I'd say the numbers are justified. Let some other town feel the penny pinch and see how they'd react. They'd skip out on the luxury expenses too.

It'd be nice to give him a shot though since we'll be needing that depth to our sorely depleted roster. Keyword that is very applicable with this team: Depleted. This is not the same depth squad that we once had a blue moon ago.

When has that gotten in our way? It's an excellent chance to play down tonight. I think they'll handle the Oilers like Phoenix though: Keep it close, then shut it down in the 3rd. If Malts repeats slicing pucks past Dwayne-O then all the better!

From the vg thread: I remember that too. Lidstrom squeezes him out on the boards if I recall. It's great! I can't promise keeping the Lils av... it's a one-trick pony, but all of a sudden I'm wondering where that NBC Lilja interview from last season is. I know one of you LGWers out there downloaded it to hoard. I don't even remember the questions they asked him. It was due to his end of the season renaissance though.

It bugs me too, because you're right, it's something we won't know about until next year. And you know how we Detroit fans don't like to be kept wondering. Kipper probably would've refused to go here though. Who wants to face 10 shots a game?
