It's from '04, but it deserves to be the lead story on Sportscenter though!
-
It's so the best spot to watch a game. The low to mid rows of the lower bowl just make the rest of the arena stink by comparison.
-
What's to stop Aaron Downey from singing it and you loving it? And I THINK I'm going to hit Dairy Queen on the way to lecture because LORD HELP ME, the mention of milkshakes in October is too irresistable!
-
I think you need to get out more. HEY drwscc, what's the name of the song that's based off? I was thinking of it the other day... but couldn't possibly remember it.
-
Is he really demanding that? That's pretty ridiculous if so. I guess make the city list include only Denver now.
-
It's pretty funny how quickly the tide turns. Fors at the deadline last year? Okay, we're on the train! Send us Forsberg Kenny! After he goes to Nashville? Boooooohoooooo. We didn't want him anyway. He's so awful. And then rinse wash and repeat here. The guy will be in Col or Ott by year's end, but he'll do good for them. He put up points and he'll probably do it again.
-
It looks like somebody mishmashed the two threads. Zetterberg will make Montreal natives and British Columbians cry tonight. Luongo is going down.
-
Ahhhh, statistics! The definitive statement of a player's worth! They're all invisible out there. Hudler got a neat tap in goal... and I'm sure Kopecky's points weren't instrumental in finishing the play. I'm not worried about Flip or Huds yet, but the fact remains that we'll need to make a move sometime this year.

I bet Homer racks up ten goaltender interference penalties and leapfrogs past Godard for league leader. Other than that I also bet that the Wings will score goals, Vancouver will score goals, and the game will run stop-start for sixty minutes. There. That's my game prediction.

What if Fors proves he's better than Grigs Hank? Will he deserve to have 21 back then? The three contests will involve these tasks: -Sleeping -Chowing McDonald's on off-days -Stretching out supine on the couch watching Heroes/House/The Office/Popular Tv Show Of Your Preference Let us not forget, Forsberg has had time to train in his "offseason". It could be a close match-up.

Grigorenko isn't in. Hooray for the Ellis - Downey line! Go work hard Matty! Show Igor what a real prospect does!

To some other team. We have no trade bait. But that Cloutier video is the better of the two. Major points for riling up the bench.

The guy can't keep on putting up near 2ppg every night. Babs knows it, Holland knows it, the whole team fears it (except Sammy, because he knows that eventually his shot percentage will rocket from .01% to 99.8). It is, as Agent Smith says, inevitable. But if you want Hank to continue this tear and utter domination of teams and goalies, you may want to prepare a fine-tuned pre-game ritual for him. It's a three step program over the course of two hours. It's not really all that physically taxing, although Chris Chelios has said he'd go through "ten hours of straight bike-riding in the sauna before suffering that crap". It involves tying the guy to a chair, hitting play on the taperoom dvd, and forcing him to watch his girl sing it up with borderline effeminate guys up til game time. An example of such a training tool This will undoubtedly keep him producing all through next June. Uncommon side effects may include Z killing goaltenders with his rage-enhanced slapshot and taking an eye for an eye literally, rendering players like Kyle McLaren permanently blind on the ice. But it will be worth it.

Sad but true. I have no idea why they even bring him up at this point... The kid is probably headed back to Russia, unless Holland and co. see a real reason for him - unimpressive at training camp, below zero in the American league - to even practice and/or play with the big club. How bizarre.

This is very good. You almost feel this is the first step in a franchise long dead, finally being brought back to life. It's only televised games, but I hope the Blackhawks will continue to be given the treatment they need.

Let's face it, Z is going to slow down at some point

It wasn't really a question. And the first post was a joke, in case anyone lost their funny bone over seeing a woman Hank is dating. Anyway, three days away! Don't lose your scoring touch over the weekend Z! -
I'm considering caffeine pills lately, just because... yeah... it sounds a lot cheaper than a few "energy" drinks during the week that are more taurine than anything. 400mg is supposedly a safe daily intake for non-heart disease bearing folks. And in other news, I like xkcd. It is too good. http://xkcd.com/322/

This is kind of off topic, but what would you say to a man selling himself in an equivalent manner? I don't see any difference, even though I'm not really in support of either... I also don't really care all that much aside though because it doesn't affect me directly. If not in as obvious a sexual way, an equivalent might be a studly looking Nick Lachey who sings songs of love and vulnerability to adoring female fans, who in turn flock to someone who's very attractive. And who focuses on themes in his music they further find attractive. Anyway, I don't know how the thread got on Hank's personal choices in who he decides to include in his private life, but I just find the condemning reaction interesting. -
I know, I'm surprised no one other than you has questioned it. I've seen a comment or two reacting strongly to the supposed "ego problem" - and thus buying the sourceless statement - but no one that found the "news" surprising. Someone even changed the subtitle of this thread in response to it. And here we go. Bruce MacLeod on his Red Wings Corner blog made the post, but I see nothing to indicate that he's not simply running on old info. Is this actually a new verified statement from Grigs or what? Any of you guys know?

That you're living in Florida right now totally removes how awesome this could be, you know. It's tough that you can't pick up cheap local Canuck/Wing merchandise to aid in the humiliation process. How about this: For a week after the game, the loser greets the bet winner with a daily, original proclamation of the winning team's or a team player's superiority over the losers. The more embarassing and painful the statement the better.

Has anybody posted a link that quotes his agent on this "turnaround"? He said a week or two ago that he was fine with staying in the AHL, last I checked. I don't have the time to read through all the pages here but that first article didn't contain anything direct. It'd also be very strange for him to contradict himself within so short a span.

Doubly blessed obviously means she has brains and brawn. See those guns on her. They will make a whole clan of future Hart trophy winners and it shall be good. -
Why be bored? Just find something to do. There's always something.

I went to bed at 4a and got up at 6. I am not bothered by that at all. I don't wanna go do a lab session right now though.

I haven't noticed any early breaks and takedowns. If anyone does, great, but I don't recall any Wings or other team breakaways that got hauled down.
