Invite Bryzgalov to dance, I don't care who, just show some goddam heart out there after one of your own gets hit like that. It's just agitating to know that if any team wanted to run our guys, whether it's a Cleary or a Hasek or a Zetterberg, they would get away with it. Every time.

Did you guys see the Wings throwdown like real brothers after that Cleary board? It was marvelous. I've never seen such ferocious, uh, face washes...

I would like for the Wings to win, but also to make the game actually worth watching at 10pm. Please offer some of the following: crisp playmaking, consistent cycling in the offensive zone, the occasional booming hit from Kronwall or... Kronwall..., and a HUGE scrum/brawl wherein the Wings players stand up for eachother. Much love, me

I know Datsyuk is known for flashiness, but he has Hank beat in out and out puck and stickhandling. Zetter is great... but he will never be able to embarrass Dmen or control the way Pavel can. But I agree, I consider Z to be the all around more complete player. And that's probably the concensus that general management has too.

So is that supposed to vindicate Tootoo? What's your point? Tootoo's game is, and his intent here, was dirty, plain and simple. And if you don't understand what player-dispensed justice is... then you probably won't grasp why Weller is justified for his 1,000,000mph (yeah, it was so dangerous wasn't it?) headhunting clothesline on Tootoo. Weller knocked him decently, but seriously, there's a point when you deserve what your peers throw back at you.

I'm in a computer lab right now. This is the most I've sat at one all week because today my back doesn't like it when I stand up. That sucks. ..but if wingnut holds out so long Ross turns into glasgowcelticvampire, then all things would be made better.

It's not terrible, because they're not in competition with eachother in the same way... oh, I don't know, a Hasek and Osgood thread would highlight. That will turn into a mess. Yzerfan's original post says outright that it's not a knock on either guy. They're both extremely valuable assets to the team, but if it came down to making a trade for someone we really needed (i.e., in the event of a Luongo-caliber goalie coming available) ... I'm betting Holland keeps Z. And again, that's no jab at Dats. They're different players (wouldn't care to use the hackneyed "apple and oranges" analogy, because people usually say that to deflect actually giving an answer), but value does have a measuring line. It's not really going to happen though, so we'll never have to go there in outright saying who matters more to management.

If they were really unstoppable, I'd dig not having any depth past them. But right. I still don't know what Holland is going to do come February.. but again, as always, our complete absence of a second line grates on me. As much as I love Huds and Flip (<-- see username). I was impressed with Draper's goal last night though. It'd be nice to see him have another stand-up year.

The boys have been a little sloppy and a little lackadaisical, but I'm glad they finished this one. Now they get to face Chicago on a non-Twilight Zone day. And pretty much resume owning them per usual.
