I agree with Crymson on it totally not happening. Lilja showed us a good game this post-season, but he isn't really a beast. Huds is really the biggest trade bait out of the two... but even he isn't worth anything yet. I think he will be, but by the time he is I definitely don't want him to actually become bait!

Talk about being ready to say "I do", like.. seriously! Honestly, that line stands out to me like... a lot. Who says that? Who thinks that? And for anyone (and everyone) anticipating Z's showing himself as a franchise player... seriously, I think this is going to be a career year for him. He got notice from Wayne and others before his injury last season, I really think he'll show us some even bigger magic this go-'round. I really, truly do.

No offense, but I think right in public would be most appropriate, since most of your attitude to people - I assume, because I don't see you as -that- "caustic" to get borderline argumentative with posters in PM too - is equally in the public eye. That and I just figure you'd brush off my observations (observations, not attacks, not ill-willed "that Crymson sure's a bad guy", but straight up neutral-as-possible observances that aren't about vilifying you) if I did go to PM with you. If I have to say these things in futility, they may as well be where other people saw that I said them and made an attempt. I know, and agree. That's why I really look forward to February, because of how much easier it is to add some tools to the team. But I'm expecting 3rd/4th liners to be the ones Kenny picks up (like you mentioned) due to the ease, unless he can actually secure a scorer/finisher/banger/pwr fwd 2nd line guy at a decent price--and before anyone else offers a sweeter deal to the Dumper team. I oddly wouldn't be surprised if Holland pulls a rabbit out of his hat this season, but... I don't know if I'd be surprised if he didn't either. Hossa though? I like his stats!

I remember seeing that video, the second effort he put in is impressive. I like the guy, although I haven't heard enough about him to make a great assessment. It feels like it's been an eternity since people were talking about Kuznetsov's size on our then-gritty team, and here we are again hoping we finally got the puzzle pieces in some of these guys.

No, it isn't. If you start yelling at someone to their face and then say, well I MEAN no harm, do you actually think it's in their court to shoulder interpreting you correctly? That's an exaggeration, but it's to bring my point home. I don't care if someone "doesn't mean to be a jerk"--it matters whether they are or not, that's it. I ain't out to label you one, but you, often, are a hostile jerk and look like a control-freak on these boards. You don't have to be either, but you are. It's actually strange, because you're so on the money about people having responsibility for panicking around here about Kenny or team grit or how they choose to regard the Wings... yet you don't pay attention to how much of an able choice it is for you in affecting how other people will, quite naturally, look back at you. I think the other camp is the wiser and less reactionary, but it's not like I don't understand the first though. We need grit, and people want it now. The guys on that list that are losses probably are Markov and Calder--Bert's a maybe. We won't miss Lang, we'll just miss his regular season points AND THE OCCASIONAL SUPER CLUTCH GOAL. That's nothing new though, because other people have said it on that topic of what we lost too. But your question is definitely the same as mine, and everyone else behind the Wings.
