That might be true, we'll find out sometime this week no doubt.
-
I don't think this one needs a response, all in all. Come on, show how they -will- get beaten by Anaheim, SJ, or Calg. See last year? I don't care if San Jose played down, we're not in a bad position. We could be in a better pos. for sure.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/article.jsp...702_200657_5088 I guess it's not as bad a loss then. He might have signed to a $3mill deal with us though--I want details on the talks breakdown. And he wouldn't have been as physical or fought as much HS, even if he makes a comeback this year... still a disappointment though, harold.
-
I'm going to be so angry if Anaheim gave him a mediocre deal Jen. Kenny's a damn good GM, but god dammit. Bert's not an answer to our grit problem (per above), but he's top six player for sure.
-
me + holland - bert - huds = crankiness apparently it's already going around in gen. discussion right now.
-
What bulls***. I'm mad about this losing Bert. No one is going to be happy at all with whoever Kenny signs now... no one's left anyway, except someone who "might" be a good choice but won't be.
-
I forgot about that, you're right. Even though people are flipping out about our size issue (again, lol), to let Hudler go would solve the forward minutes problem we have--but it'd be a loss to lose him I think.
-
Same on the team's potential. Losing Bert doesn't change what we brought to the table against San Jose and Anaheim. Don't think the Sharks brought their full potential though, we didn't face what we should have. We have to pull some toughness out somewhere... don't know about Kenny having a trick for this however
-
if you give him a full season to play, he won't be the same as last year. Bert with playing time under his belt > 'tuzzi coming off a season-long injury. He's got hands and size still, he showed that even in the playoffs despite being as largely invisible as Hank.
-
He's no longer the Bertuzzi of yesteryear, that's a given. I think he's going to have a damn good 'comeback' season in Anaheim though. I want him to, too. Not to be greater competition to us, but to show that we would have had a deal with him--if he wasn't asking too much.
-
dammit. Bert... grrrrrr..... Dammit Bert.
-
nvm, damn it
-
I don't either. Why? Why go to the Flyers? They'll be lucky to make it into the playoffs. Briere made a name for himself this year, he deserves another team.
-
This last hurrah in the Old Style of Heroes of Hockeytown is exceptionally fitting. I really actually will miss Bob, even though he's far better off in Chicago. Here's to hoping he has a great season. Go Lang!
-
Yes. This is definitely the smartest plan of action--thankfully Kenny's already got that in mind, I bet. There's room after Bert this summer though? $3mill to Bert/$2.5 to Dom, $2.5 to someone else, yeah? (EDIT: Check that, $8mill total with $1m reserved. Gotta wonder what we can get for that) Lilja was getting notice for effort, but he isn't quite a monster out there. Yet? He can improve, he isn't a freight train though. Just a Pain Train.
-
<-- seconded. Hasek and Bert will fall in line, then that's it. I still am going to miss Markov on the back though--he seriously had a presence. Plus, he never gets himself "Kronwalled".
-
That's a great looking Civic! It reminds me of my Cobalt.. You need a Wings logo right here:
-
If you mean how much more they gotta spend HS, usatoday's saying '07's total was $43mill... add in the firesale, that brings them to needing $3-4mill. That is most likely off however.
-
I don't think anything will, given Kenny's general reliability. Neither do I though. And Rafalski is a damn good pick-up... doesn't keep me from wanting an additional forward pick-up other than Bert though. Don't see it happening though with Grigorenko coming up, because that leaves us with dumping either Kopecky, Sammy, or Hudler.
-
I know! Some people are posting as if he's giving Detroit the middle finger. If Hudler goes, he goes. And we wouldn't have gotten anything for him... whatever.

I wish there were a storm here. I want the rain.

I think neither of you appreciate Mad Max. Tres sexy.

I'm not throwing you any more parties! We're done!

I'm so unused to the idea of people not talking about the yearly HP book. So strange. -- Five quotes:
