They broke it a while ago and already performed funeral rites for it. Viperar knows his stuff. I ain't too easy myself about the boys' output though. It's time to step it up and put the doubts to rest. Game 6, tops.

This speaks universes and parallel dimensions without bound: It is perfection in pixels!

He backed down, man. Viper, put those fists up, let's settle this LIKE MEN DAN CLEARY

I think the Cleary run and elbow thing's been pretty well-examined and the lawyers have done a perfect job! Way to clear Clears' name, folks. Stanley & Campbell will have jobs for you after the post-season. I forget who it was, but I particularly dig the distinction someone made between "elbowing somebody" and "delivering a check, where the elbow, tucked-in, is the connecting point". This is one thing that people go wild about in their defining of an elbow, when there's no cause for offense in the first place. Kudos, mi amo-.. amores? amigos? Amores!

I still want to get a good screencap of that. It's tough to pull one from TSN's vid... if it were on Youtube it'd be cake, but there's something funky about print screening it off their coded videoplayer. This is stuff that could easily make Cleary a fav of mine if he really had it in him to play it up every night... I dug the hell out of him in December, and with stuff like this? How can you not love the guy? If only it were part and parcel to him.

Funny as hell, but also a definite "ouch"

Tonight Lillypads is: HITTING BLOCKING SHOTS HITTING AND BEING AWESOME
-
Lilly has just earned praise twice now from Mick and Ken. He's building momentum.

And then Babs should ask any of the beer guys if he's ever centered a fourth line for a pro hockey team. Bobby might need a period break.
-
What the f*** was that jerking our guy and the ref around? I am baffled by that. I mean, seriously.

It would sell like hotcakes. Fans would pick it up faster than you can mix Final Fantasy and Disney!

NJ vs. Tampa Bay @ 7EST Sabres vs. Isles @ 7:30 Cheapshotters 4 LYFE! vs. Sharks @ 10 o'clock sharp There's a sleepover at Matt's house for the Floppa vs. San Jose game, just so you know. Be there or be Kipper'd in the HEAD Keep y'all's eyes peeled, the Devils and Lightning will for sure bring it tonight.

Smash at 7am? Sick, sir! I could only ever do that on a Saturday morning... and thus feel quintessentially relieved of, what's the word, "responsibilities". All of a sudden I feel the express wish that a modded version could exist: Tootoo vs. Samus? Link vs. Floppa? Mario tapdancing on Vokoun's baldhead? Make it happen, H.

Forty minutes away, folks. Let's ready the war drums. Bert's suiting up, I hear? Lay down the "dying Canadian baby" track for him, too. -

Guys, I monopolized Bob on the phone today (even though HoH kept butting in from across the room), and we got the problem diagnosed. What is it that's been hampering Robert Lang all season long, and has been on him two games into the playoffs? Performance anxiety, pure and simple. The same thing that may not help a guy "be there" when he's needed the most... it's happening to Bobby, here, because he's loved us so much and he wants only to please us all. Offsides was talking about Lang pulling up a clutch goal soon--I think he's able to get there. He's close people: I know, because he turned down an offer for a McD's card in the mail. So it looks like all he needs is some love. Some love and reassurance that is so crucial to helping him get his confidence back. If he can get this.. he can start skating, quit the burgers, and light it up soon. So for my part of Langer-love, I'm dedicating this one to you, sir. An "Ode to Lang" to the tune of the Plain White T's 'Hey there Delilah': -- Hey there Lang-O What's it like in Calgary City? I'm a thousand miles away But girl tonight you look so pretty Yes you do Time Square can't shine as bright as you I swear it's true Hey there Bobby Don't you worry about the distance I'm right there if you get lazy Give this song another listen Close your eyes Listen to my voice it's my disguise I'm by your side Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me What you do to me Hey there Mister No-Effort I know times are getting hard But just believe me girl Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar We'll have it good We'll have the life we knew we would My word is good Hey there Jim-Bob I've got so much left to say If every simple song I wrote to you Would take your breath away I'd write it all Even more in (brotherly) love with me you'd fall We'd have it all Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me A thousand miles seems pretty far But they've got planes and trains and cars I'd walk to you if I had no other way Our friends would all make fun of us and we'll just laugh along because we know That none of them have felt this way #20 I can promise you That by the time we get through The world will never ever be the same And you're to blame for your awesome game Hey there Delilah You be good and don't you miss me Two more years and you'll be done with school And I'll be making history like I do You know it's all because of you We can do whatever we want to Hey there Delilah here's to you This ones for you Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me What you do to me. -
As if there were any doubt! The Langer Line is my preferred pick-up line of choice.

CLEVARNESS A real life discussion I just had a moment ago about Wii Sports #2: her: I lovelove tennis from #1, but it makes my arm hurt. moi: I so bet you're swinging harder than you even need to, and that's weird! You're just weak her: I know, I love it but it tires my muscle out moi: You madame, are lazy and you suck
-
If this happens I'll totally have no idea what to do with Langer. It'd be a moment of joy... But after it's all done? I'd want to slap him around and tell him to keep that up.

Earlier today I saw one. ....buuuuut the design on the back only looked similar from afar, and was not at all the wings or Bernie's stats.
-
Surely you jest, Tunbo! I would take Senator McCarthy and a bushel full of strawberries over Bert any day of the week. On Bert though... I think people overrate his physical presence. He's a large guy and he's able to deliver some hard hits, but he isn't as much as "physical force" as he's tough to get off the puck. And make you wish you weren't born if he does happen to catche you right. His game this year has been subtler, so far in the comeback process.

This is the best thread ever. However busy we are with the daily GDT... and the hopes of a late night game spanning the horizon... this will be the wonderkind, the home of all that is A.M. HOCKEY. For ever and ever, amen.

It looks that way, but in reality Homer's face was safe there. The skates are probably a foot back from Kip's pants, and the same from H's face. And his "trajectory" we'll say was carryin' his big self away from and over Kipper's whole body, including the goalie skates. But yeah, a push-and-shove behind a goalie could end disastrously, for sure

For my part, I'm kidding when putting the whole team in the "cheapshot artist" category. I'd have to pay more attention to the series to say if the squad really is being allowed to run around pulling moves like that or if it's just those guys, those incidents. But it's a good illustration of how even a couple guys on a team can color people's perception when they act out, even when the view is in jest. It definitely sucks. But with seeing Nash.. I think it'd be great too, but probably only on the grounds of "they're a fine match for us". Vancouver probably'd be surest to deliver on a truly passionate series out of any of 'em, really.

It was all for you, Elsh!
