I'm inclined to think the regular season games are enough as it is... There was a time when they were genuinely cheaper and actually a fair price, I think, but I don't recall numbers. These days I don't really think about going to see the Wings much more than once or twice a year, or if anyone else happens to have tickets. Lower bowl tickets are ridiculous, but seriously, that's the best place to spy the game from. I'm kind of curious now what other teams around the league charge. I wouldn't be surprised if D-town fans get raked when it comes to this.

If we were pressed into icing any of the New York region squads, I think the Isles would have to bite it though. Sure, the Rangers and Devils are close by, and so are the Flyers... but I'd have to ask Mike Bossy to forgive me for killing his homeboys. And also, teams are more than their temporal roster or contention-status: so I mean, a team sucking right now isn't enough. The Blackhawks could be nixed by that standard, but it'd be a really bad idea for their location and history. Jersey seems to fit.

ehhhh... when you suck, people aren't going to be too intent on spending their time watching you do your thing. 'cos: Past successes =/= present praise =( I think O6 teams likely would have an "untouchable" status though, so way to go systems of class hierarchy and discrimination! If I could have my way though.. I'd nix Nash, wipe out Atlanta, fix a team in Seattle, and then add one back to the Canadian market. In an ideal world where that could financially balance itself, however.

Yeah... I'm definitely waiting until after college to attend a Wings playoff game!
-
Man... If only the Wings played in the third period like they played in OT.
-
*cries* DATS@!!! Why oh God why could that not go in????
-
Uh... dude.
-
That wily Hasek, always letting in soft goals! When will he ever stop lazing and sucking!
-
Dallas dumped the puck in, then Dom went to the far corner to play it and Mick's all like: "Ha ha, there goes Dom. He must be getting bored!"
-
And Cheli almost put another away!
-
Drapes, you are my boy!
-
Ha! Mick didn't rag on your boy, loo. That pass the Stars made was incredible, though. Seriously. It was a goal line to opposing blue line connection that sparked that breakaway. SICKNESS, right there!
-
Oh, that was a close one by Modano. He picked that one perfectly though, kudos Mike! Hella glad it didn't go in though!
-
hahaha! It's been a while since I've heard Daniels say it: "What a great Datsyukian deke from behind the net!"
-
Seriously though, Malts' face told that he thought it was a funky fluke goal. hahaha
-
haha, Bert's goal was so... bad, but hell yeah! I was so apprehensive about him getting injured or whatever, but so far he's skating well. This year's gonna be good, my friend. The interview with Nick was great. For two reasons: 1) Lidstrom simply is a great, intelligent guy to talk with & 2) It didn't have fat boy! Seriously, let the world rejoice. (I am truly only referring to what's-his-name as Fat boy now. He's crossed the line too many times.)

Hey terri! And yeah, it could have been 3-0 already, honestly! We've been owning the power play and Homer nearly put one in from the front. Huds also nearly pulled a Stars d-man out of his pants for an attempt at the net. I think he's going to get one tonight.

If my memory of Mick's gushing over Oz is right, then I'd agree with you. I think Mickey's point on the no-feint was valid though: it was a dramatic situation for sure, but the move put on Dom wasn't all that difficult. Everyone has a bit of bias, but even if Mick loved Oz up for a save like that, I think he'd remain aware of that fact. The old man isn't a homer, thank the stars.
-
There'll be some better ones... it's like Mickey said, the Star guy didn't even drop his shoulder for a feint. All Dom had to do was keep with the puck and stick. It was definitely sweet though!
-
Will there be any "sassy" hits out there tonight? hahahaha
-
Oh no! I hope they don't dump you again, loo. I'm so glad that Mick is back on the Detroit feed though.... honestly I was missing the old coot. It's been too long.
-
This had better be a good game to kick off the weekend. It's also the last real challenge we can expect for the season... Columbus ain't a drop in the bucket, but Chicago definitely will be, so let's see if the guys do what they need to tonight. I may actually even be in the gdt tonight. But right now, pizza's calling.

Sir, there are times when near-death experiences are necessary. I encourage you to seek Bob's assistance. By the way, what happened to Homer in the projected line-up? I was so out of it today/yesterday that I wasn't able to stay awake for the whole Preds game.
