It kind of did. On that note though I'm sorry, but red was only a novelty second choice. It's not like I haven't had my nights of it. Theoretically yeah. Like I said earlier though, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take them out of their comfort zone, knowing how they turn up for two games in two nights. Let them have Dom for the Oilers, then make them realize that they'd definitely better pick it up for Ozzie (he's great, but he's not Dom) the day after.

It's not the fact that you were joking around about something crass, it's the way in which you did it. People object to the basic disrespect implied in the 'joke.' It's totally fine to make borderline shots at humor, but usually it's self-deprecating or absurd, thus funny. Someone saying that they're being a gentleman by "allowing" someone to "finish" a sexual favor... isn't all that funny, or gentlemanly, for that matter. It kind of makes a body wonder that you don't see this, actually. So nah, it ain't about anybody being overly sensitive to the topic. It ain't that at all.

Honestly, I'd rather see Dom in net on Saturday, but that isn't even my real concern. The real one is the team's play, period. They've been messy with playing back-to-back games this season, so I'm hopeful about them actually winning against Nashville--but I think we'll see another W/L split for the two games. I am very eager to be surprised however. [edit!] But knowing that bad record, that's likely the message Babs is sending, I think. "Ozzie will be in net, not Dom. Pick it up guys." --I hope it works!

That doesn't mean that he's only able to work magic with Z though. Same with the notion that he will for sure light it up with -anyone- -- it all depends. Tonight I learned from somebody that I could have been at the game.. only someone else mentioned that I had a lecture and 'couldn't go' .... as if that would have kept me from skipping a night for a trip down to watch the Wings romp and stomp around. But even though you're a little psychotic when it comes to Detroit to the point that even strangers in standing-room call you out on it, that would've been good to see. I likely would have stayed a section away, BUT: it would not be out of fear. Only a healthy respect for a fan when she's in the zone.

Zettzilla couldn't do anything about that last great feed he got. He had to go with it. This night's game raises Z to sixteenth on the NHL points list, I think. What a (now-with-teeth!) little monster!
